Well it worked for an inning, but it still doesn't mean it was right.
@Hugh_Jorgan
Appreciate the response, but I've decided to make the bet for several reasons. If I've ever been good at anything is getting on the right side of a line. Pulling the trigger on a hedge/middle is another story.
Week 10: Cowboys -9.5(-110) *5/4.55
I really feel like the let down spot is this week for them boys vs Denver. They just got a semi miracle win vs Minny as dogs, with a QB who was playing battleship with most of his passes.
Like I mentioned before, I think this line is inflated. Is it because of Von Miller? It could be, and may be warranted, but not to the extent of the same level as the Falcons.
Will Dak play vs Denver? I don't know, but I give him an excellent chance in week 10. If he does play week 9(and gets through it unscathed) then he's surely to play week 10. I feel that his status for week 9 alone will move the week 10 line.
If you're worried about rust, forget it. The man didn't play a single down in preseason and came out guns a blazzin vs the Bucs.
Situationally, week 10 is good for the Cowboys. Coming off 3 non divisional games with a bye 2 weeks prior, and it will be a consecutive home game. On deck they'll have KC. The Chiefs are not the juggernaut like they were in prior seasons, and no revenge looming.
For Atlanta it's a tad rougher spot. They'll be coming off consecutive division games, it will be a consecutive road game, and 3rd road in 4 weeks. On deck, they gotta a play a Thursday nighter vs New England. Ever seen a team pack it in early knowing they have a quick turnaround?
I mentioned 3 power rankings earlier. Add to those profootball references SRS. Atlanta -10.43, Dallas 10.74.
SOS: Atlanta #32, Dallas #3
The Falcons 3 wins are vs the Giants, Dolphins and Jets. Those teams are a combined 5-18.
Hugh mentioned matchups, and this is huge in football. The Falcons can not run the ball, they basically make themselves one dimensional all on their own. 29th in yards per rush, 27th in rush yards per game, and 31st in rush tds per game. The Cowboys defend the run well, 16th in yards allowed per rush, 6th in rush yards allowed per game, and 7th in opponent rush tds per game.
Jabril Cox tore his acl. A good special teams guy but barely saw the field on D. Only 2 tackles this year.
The Falcons Calvin Ridley walked away from the team for psychological reasons. He's played in 5 games, targeted 51 times in those averaging 9.1 yards per catch.
For a team that throws as much as the Falcons, they average only 6.3 ypp which is 26th in the league.
As well as the Cowboys throw the ball, #2 comp %, #4 ypp, #3 ypg, and #4 in qb sack % allowed. The Falcons pass D allows a 68.64% completion percentage. That's 29th in the league, and they are 30th in sack %.
Soft ass line here, it's 2 weeks away so the books are being sloppy I suspect. I think the line should be -13 minimum.

It was actually during an intervention we were having for TW... ODB, D and I all gave each other 'that' look and just muttered 'long day' at the same time

Raiders moved quickly and released Ruggs.
Rams couldn't find a trade partner for disgruntled WR DeSean Jackson so released him.
Surprised Jackson isn't on a plane to LV already

@OlDirtyBaztid
Hey man, I won't be able to make it Saturday for that drink, subsequently failing to fulfill my hom-o erotic fantasy of meeting another man via internet.
I'll be in Sturgeon Bay for one last fishing trip before the weather gets to "dick falling off" cold.
I'll take a rain check

@undermysac
TW will be glad to hear that, though...
So, the Braves wanted to clinch the WS on the road ,and really stick it to Houston. Congrats to them on an outstanding postseaon, give the MVP to the bullpen.

Saints WR Michael Thomas (not the team) informs the media that he won't be healthy enough to play this year.

Actually they mixed up my Cherry Turnover for an Apple Turnover so I did what any sane person would do and took a dump in my hand and flung it at the cashiers.

As did OBJ with the BWS Browns. He was told to stay home today and Stefanski told the players "He's not your teammate right now."
