nice grab on the +9.5      yet another prime time game that was just brutal to watch.  the coaching in the first 5 weeks of the season has been abysmal.  

Abysmal in deed ...what the hell has happened to this league ??? QB play and coaching has fallen off the cliff

Here's an interesting tidbit. There have been 7 teams who have played in London who have not had a bye the following week. In those games following London without a bye, all 7 teams have been tied or losing in the 4th quarter.

The Saints defied those odds, won and covered vs the Seahawks. The Vikings were losing, managed to win but didn't cover.

The Packers and Giants are on deck.

I had a look ahead line on Jags. Bought out when lines re opened yesterday. I have the slightest chance to middle but highly doubt it.

Weird line, it's like the books aren't giving the Bears any points for hfa.

By dvoa, the Commanders had the hardest sos before this week's games so they've been up against it all year. They did beat the Jags in week 1, so they have a winnable game here in Chicago. 

Interesting boxscore from the Tenn/Wash game, the Commanders had 6.6 ypp vs the Titans 3.9 ypp but still lost. They shot themselves in the foot with 9 penalties and 1 turnover. 

I haven't watched any Washington games this year so I don't know how they play. I know that the Bears offense and defense is as simple as it gets. So on a short week there isn't much adjusting or complex game planning being condensed into a couple practices. 

Last week vs the Giants Justin Fields played better than the stats showed. A podcast with Trent Dilfer pointed it out in detail. The rest of the Bears O was pretty awful that game. Vs the Vikings, Fields took even bigger strides. The game didn't look to fast for him, he was in a pretty good groove.

And like I've said all year, the Bears coaching won't fuck up the gameplan or on field decisions. Judging by the Commanders penalty issues this year(-19.80 yards per game) vs the Bears +12.60 per game, they better be buttoned up and ready for a good ole fashion grinder.

He does it once a week whether he needs it or not

About to enter Costco to buy grilling essentials for 24 guys from the bass club. Burgers on Friday, Brauts on Saturday, plus all the fixins n sides. I feel like I need to take out a loan for this excursion. I also stole 3 cases of beer from work, out of the kindness of my heart, to help quench thirsts. Simultaneously getting some people hungover so they don't fish well.
