Not to poop on Commanders but it will be their offense that has to carry the day. D gave up on avg.126 on the ground and 262 thru the air for 389 total which landed them dead last.Now I did not look further and there may be a few defensive stats that could show promise and new DC is a start. 
And they need to go back to the Redskins and the old design...one of my favorite designs ever, just down from the old Patriots logo with the patriot hiking the ball...that is my all time favorite...for old logos it goes Patriots, Redskins and Oilers...and a close fourth, a bloody rim of the nose

Here's an article explaining how good Aiyuk actually is. Most folks don't see it because he's #2 on the list with the niners playing 2nd fiddle to Deebo Samuel. Amongst other good weapons on the team.
He scored a 92.3 by pff last year. Most definitely an elite wr.
Ai yuk is a great receiver...I was happy when I heard the Raiders were going to pick him up but that went away as fast as Bruce Jenner on a wheaties box...

The 2 issues with Aiyuk have been his maturity, and his lack of discipline running routes.
Couple years ago Shanahan was asked why Aiyuk was not seeing the field more, given his obvious physical talents. He responded honestly (refreshingly so) and said that Aiyuk would not consistently run the route he was supposed to. There were also reports that he was not the most coachable player.
For whatever reason, all of that seemed to change last year.
One thing to keep in mind, Aiyuk was still the 4th best option on the 9ers last year, behind Deebo, Kittles, and CMC. Being the 4th option opens up a lot of matchup advantages.

Nothing is going well for them early on. And they'll be favored to start the season. I'm seeing -4.5 vs the Jets at home on MNF. Considering that the Jets are getting a ton of high rankings of nearly all their units, how is that a dog you couldn't back?
