Interesting angle by a writer in the NY Post. As everyone knows, the spread rarely matters in the Super Bowl. It has mattered about 6 times in 55 games. So, if you like the Bengals, statistics suggest you should just take the money line, currently about 1.75-1.00. However, this sportswriter points out that it is unlikely that the Bengals win without Burrow being the MVP. So, his reasoning goes, if you like the Bengals, forget about the points and the money line and just bet Burrow to be MVP at 2.75-1.00. Interesting logic.

same can be true of Stafford.  its his time and if you like the Rams just bet Stafford MVP.  However, the odds are trash but better than laying the ML on LA.

I immediately put down a 4U bet on CIN +4 right after the line came out. Gotta take the points, right?

But after doing some research on my own and throwing a lot of things out and adding weight to momentum: I still have LAR as a touchdown fav on the point spread and winning by 10.

It was a mistake taking the points I see now but I don't know if I should buy out.

I spoke to a few of my guys who are a mix of squares, sharps, sharp squares etc... and they are all on CIN +4 for the same reason I took them, "Gotta take the points, right?"

Experience matters a lot in these games and Burrow has a lot from NCAAF but the rest of the team does not. There's a lot more pressure on Stafford and LAR overall but I have to go with experience and coaching here.

I may be wrong but I think the house is taking a position on LAR, screw what the line movement says, my gut tells me 70% of the money is on CIN +points and that the books are screwing the CIN bettors out of 3 points because they can. Smart money is on LAR and I just answered my own question typing this. Buying out, laying 4, and may the Lime/Green/Yellow Gatorade be victorious @ +300.

Today Siglo V, Peroni, pizza, wings, ribs, nachos and maybe a Sambuca later and it's still 80 degrees

It is comical how much ESPN has manipulated the narrative that the NFL is the ultimate team sport, but QB's should be judged on wins and losses.

This mindset has sunk so deep into the public collective conscious that it has become impossible to discuss any QB without the first argument being wins/losses.

53 teammates on the sideline yet only one person is judged by the outcome of the game.

Everyone else is judged by their individual performance.

Burrow's individual performance in these playoffs has been average ... yet Joe Public is already sizing him up for a gold jacket
