Christian television network founder and preacher Marcus Lamb, who discouraged vaccinations, dies after being hospitalized for Covid-19
Marcus Lamb often spoke out against the Covid-19 vaccines on his show. In an episode earlier this year featuring anti-vaccine activists Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Del Bigtree, Lamb said the Covid-19 vaccine was "not really a vaccine," but an "an experimental shot" that was "dangerous.
Marcus Lamb alleged without evidence that people were dying or having neurological disorders from the vaccine.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say Covid-19 vaccines "are safe and effective" and that any adverse events after vaccination "are very rare but may occur." People who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 were 11 times more likely to die of the disease and 10 times more likely to be hospitalized with the disease, according to a study published by the CDC.

60,000 a year don't die from the flu. That would have to be an especially bad flu year. Most years, 20-30K would be typical.

No proof that migrants from south border are a significant source of covid infections. Fact checks by politifact, associated press, reuters, USAtoday and Washington post give the following reasons. First, US-Mexico border isn't wide open and most migrants are turned away. Homeland security department ensures all non-citizens are tested at some point during their journey to the US. A negative test is required for entry.
Secondly, most US infections occur far from border and in areas with low migrant population. Third, delta variant dominates in the US but different variants dominate in latin and south America. Pan American health organization found that delta variant spreads from US to Mexico instead of vice versa. Fourth, infection surge is far more likely to be caused by low vaccination, mask or vaccine hesitancy and lifting of public health restrictions. So evidences point to covid being a public health issue and not a border issue.
