I think he practiced so much he got hoarse, yet his answers were all over the place. A cold doesn't do that. 

Trump dwelled on previous questions too much.

When they argued over golf scores I shook my head. Bad for both of them. Trump shoulda said my VP pick will actually be competent just in case.

When Biden defended the bullshit Charlottesville fine people I think he missed the recent Snopes news release. That was very bad.

CNN did a professional job and I was a bit surprised.

about how he would do better and fix anything and how he would do it.

 Biden looked awful.....just awful. Throwing out already-debunked lies is just stupid, especially for a guy that spent a week prepping. But Trump wasn't a whole lot better. Put Trump up against anyone else in this debate & he would look bad. I will say the moderators did a good job......they stayed out of the way.

Not true. It would be nice to have a role model superhero but that's Hollywood. Trump made it through all the Russia, Russia, Russia shit, spied on illegaly by the FBi, and all the "drink bleach", "losers and suckers, "bounties on troops", "Charlottesville fine people" lie, and I could on and on. Tough man! He gets my vote.

Trump, like Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, not a genius leader rather know the right direction and get the right people to get it done.

I think since this is such a rare occurrence, where two guys can compare and contrast terms -- this was the strategy they both attempted I think.

So, one guy can say that everything was groovy until the pandemic; the other can say he has made a great recovery since the pandemic slowdown.

Then they are hoping the folks can decide which was better.  So, I do not think either were trying to say 'exactly' what they would do different.  Because then it would sort of admit they could have done better than they did in the four years they already had.  So, they did not see a need to say they had 'new' plans because the folks can decide which set of four years they preferred.

But I do wish they would hold the guys in these debates to concentrating on the particular question asked and not keep going back to a previous one, etc.

I think both sides actually do.

The sad thing to me is that the voters are not informed enough to see better candidates on either side.  They just listen to the media that keeps the same guys front and center.

The voters cannot be pleased with these choices, but they are not aware of guy and able to be involved enough to get them more publicity.

Same reason they do not vote out bad Congressfolks.
