Does this warrant 6 shots + a clear kill shot...????

I have plenty of threads about race. You can talk about race all you want in them.

I don't care about the race here.

What I do care about is the cop unloading his clip and then shooting one final kill shot.

YES he took the cops magazine.

All of this was wrong on too many levels. I am not defending this kid in any way. I am questioning the number of shots.

So I'd just like a vote. Not looking for explanations. But you're free to speak.

I say absolutely not, ESPECIALLY That last shot.

And kudos for this young man to take the bullets all on his feet. Fairly amazing. NO I DON'T know what happened before the video started and I can't speak to it.

Even Scal hadn't mentioned race but then you had to bring it up. And you have the nerve to call anybody a race baiter.

And how do you know what he "thought" he was grabbing? To me it looked like he was just grabbing at anything, flailing away as he got pummeled. He posed no threat, had no weapon, looked like he weighed 110 pounds soaking wet. And the repeating shot theory goes out of the window with the final shot fired. Do we even know why this officer approached the deceased?

When I was a Sophomore, some black girl brought up slavery and the evils of the White man. The Professor, who considered himself Jewish and not a White guy, went off on a rant about the subject.  I'll never forget Professor Batkay b/c of this.  He said Blacks can blame themselves for putting their own people up for sale and the Arabs for spreading slavery throughout Africa and Europe. Of course there is only some truth to this, but what stood out was that the dude must have said the "N word" like 5 or 6 times and claimed that Jewish people were discriminated more than any other Black in American History.  Everyone in the class was pretty much in shock of his rant.  It was crazy.  

I'm surprised the guy didn't get fired.  This happened in 2004-2005 so smartphones weren't invented yet or that sh!t would be all over the internet.

Then there was the White girl in my American History class who said that Black Americans should thank Whites for bringing them here.......

Hahaha, no one could believe anyone would say this but that's another story.  Damn I miss those early college days. 

Those Liberal college know-it-all kids really are entertaining.  

What does 7/11's getting robbed have to do with this kid posing a threat? Again, he was unarmed and 100 pounds dripping wet. Let me tell you a story about real police work.

A few years back some cops respond to a domestic disturbance in Hayward, CA. I believe they were Alameda County Deputies rather than Hayward City cops. They get to the call, a guy and his brother in law engaged in a fight. Both of them were huge Samoans, one was trained in martial arts. As the cops move to detain them, they decided to team up against the cops. And they gave those officers a fight. One officer had either his jaw or his orbital bone broken. They eventually were able to make the arrest. No shots were fired. This is old school police work. You go to work knowing you might have to mix it up. They could've shot. They would've been justified but they decided to not be killers that day.

Fast forward to now. A cop decides to pump round after round into a kid who posed no immediate threat. Why? Was it because "7/11's get robbed multiple times a day in LA"? Was it because he was worried the suspect would start throwing rounds from that magazine he grabbed. It wasn't an instinct thing. It wasn't a reaction. He pauses. He had time to consider what he was about to do. Then he proceeds to pump round after round into him.

So.....

All you A$$CLOWN athletes all of a sudden taking a knee for black "citizens" getting shot by the police, what's your feeling on this???

End of story.  He will not be missed and life goes on.  

Then you have people like Sabaneque who claim they are not racist while at the same time bringing race into a thread that even the OP says was not meant to be a race thing. And then he says sh!t like this. "GHETTO LOTTERY"!? Really? Like black people would rather have 3 million dollars than to have their loved one alive. How would you feel if the police killed your wife, your child, your parent, you receives a settlement, and people were coming up to you saying, "Yo, bro! You won the lottery! Lucky you!"

All i'm saying is he could have yelled for him to get down. He could have went for his taser. You know, things cops are supposed to be trained to do. Instead he pulled out his gun, he paused for a second to thing about it, and he decided, "F*ck it. I'm gonna kill him."

I understand what you're saying but you can't really feel sorry for the guy.  What did he think was going to happen?  

The guy was a moron.  He had to be either drunk, on drugs or mentally ill do something like that.  

1) I'm not backing the guy. I'm simply saying that cops used to do better in these situations and were often able to avoid deadly force. This cop wasn't in immediate danger.

2) Where did robbery come from? I haven't heard it mentioned. How do you know he was grabbing for his gun. All we know is the cop took aim, hesitates as if to think about it, then fires. He never seemed to give any verbal commands once his weapon was drawn. Cops used to be better is all i'm saying.

People attribute the race card in too many of these situations. I'm 47, and have managed to never get arrested or assaulted by the police. I was even pulled over by a highway patrolman when I was 17 that broke off my side view mirror, then gave me a ticket for it. Was that guy a pr$%^? Yep. Would I have liked to punch him in the face? Yep. Was I smart enough to see the bigger picture and not make an emotional response that gets me killed or saddled with a bogus criminal record. Yep. People with forethought have better survival skills. No matter what race you are.

Just think, if he only would've had a "service animal" to comfort him and a coloring book in a "safe space" to color in, he probably would be alive today.....
