I'm a bookie and had players that normally bet around 1K ask to put 10K
on the FIU/LA Lafayette game this past weekend. One guy wanted us to take 50
grand on it. When I asked him today why he was so confident he said
that it was fixed. I laughed but he was dead serious. He said he paid
3K for the pick.
My question is did anyone watch the game? Are these small games even available to watch anywhere? If so did you notice
anything in the 2nd quarter when Lafayette rolled up 28 unanswered
points? He told me that he was told that FIU would roll over in 2nd
quarter and 2nd half. It seems hard to fix football compared to
bball......coaches or a lot of players would have to be involved.
Did anyone here make money on this "fix"?

Tarz, I really don't trust those sunbelt schools that well. I'm pretty sure the ntex/ulmon game was fixed as well. Something about louisiana just breeds corruption.
Good to see you around

wahoo when have u even known about a fix? and how?
bro, when I was in college and was just into my betting career, we had four of five players from a few different schools, this happens all over the country every week bro and to be honest, it probably will not ever stop unless they start paying collegiate athletes, I'm not getting into details, but players are certainly on the take in college sports

Frankly, it's the only way to explain the way Xavier Lee played at FSU. He was either on the take or on the pipe, or on the take so he could be on the pipe.
People who think every game they lose is fixed are annoying. People who think there aren't games that are fixed (or attemped to be), are crazy.

I have been involved with information like that in the past, didn't know anything about that game though or I wouldn't have lost money yesterday
Wahoos,
Tough Day yesterday huh? Same for me too (0-4) ....it's all good... Have you look at the card for next week yet? Hopefully it will be better...Is that why you change your Avatar? This Avatar looks good..

I read a book not long ago about a former Mafia member talking about how they fixed college games back in the late 80's early 90's, I think he had been to jail for mafia activities and got out and wrote a book about it. I remember him saying they would also privitely set up star players with agents before they went pro and start paying them before they got to the NFL and the agreement was they would use their agent when he made it big.
I know it happens, probably more likely in the small games no one is watching, i dont know if it is as big as people think it is.
1 Game comes to mind right away and i am convinced this was some kind of fix. The San jose st vs Stanford game when stanford has the easy win in the 4th q all they had to do was kneel it and end it. Then they continued to drive down the field and call time outs under 2 minutes to cover the spread
