I'm honestly in shock... When the fuck does that EVER happen?
Tell me about it. The ONE TIME I need the untouchable Rivera to do his thing...........he doesn't. He coughs up a massive walkoff homerun instead. Death to the Yankees.

The bullshit is going to happen and it's going to happen a lot. In fact, count on it happening every day. The key is to bet within your own comfort zone, and not outside of it, as so many of us tend to do. You've got to keep your bet amount small enough so that these neverending string of bad beats don't break you mentally and financially.

No, I don't, but I believe in bettors who deep down want to get fucked over, therefore practically begging fate to kick them in the ass by beginning their round of high-fives with one or two outs in the 9th instead of with three outs in the 9th.

Besides Marino's choke, does the fact you are from Massachusetts have anything to do with your dislike for the Yanks?

My Massachusetts upbringing has nothing to so with it. It's more about my inability to put myself on the winning side of Yankee games, not to mention the countless times they lose after I chicken out of fading them.

You know, it seems all of us routinely get screwed in the 9th inning by incapable closers. What I'm wondering is - if this shit is supposed to even out in the long run, shouldn't there be an equal amount of people out there who are routinely lucking out in the 9th inning with totally improbable gift wins? Where are those people? Do they exist? Do we know them only as our bookies?
