How did he get what he deserved? They werent even looking at him. They were looking at Dan Synder. Its all BS and Gruden resigned. He didnt get fired. People are trying to make a moral argument here, and there isn't one.  It is a financial argument  After his comments came out and he gave his side of the story, then the NFL and its partners decided that the NFL would be worth more money without Gruden and he was forced out, or Gruden figured it out on his own and he resigned.

If even 5 percent of the NFL fanbase tuned out because of Gruden, do you know how much money that is?

If Mahomes made the exact comments, he'd likely still have a job because he is worth more to the NFL.  If it were an owner, he might be on the fence...pro sports are players leagues now and most coaches have little value.

Plus it is not a good idea to insult 75% of your players

Dan Snider was told by the league to essentially disappear for a year and let his wife run the team while his team was being investigated for multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, one of which was basically treating the Redskins cheerleaders as the players and coaches personal sex slaves.

Just imagine all the dirt that will eventually get "leaked" about Snider over the next while.

Next will be another team, another league, repeat, rinse...etc....etc.

This has really very little to do about Gruden anymore...that's actually old news by know.
