As you all know, I've been the undisputed leader of The Box for nearly the last 11 years. It's a grueling, draining process and my tenure has only been matched by my great-grandfather who reigned supreme here at Covers.com from 1918-1932. Back then, however, it was a different time. There were less MichaelPauls of the world to deal with.
The fact of the matter is, I'm growing weary. My patience isn't what it used to be. I don't have the mental resolve to dismantle, destroy, and thoroughly embarrass the AustinHoopDream of the internet anymore.
Just look at some of our long-term members here. Hugh_Jorgan started off in 2002 as his high school's valedictorian and is now wearing adult diapers. ABooksNightmare has been here since 2004 and suffers weekly mental breakdowns. WallStreetCappers has been a member of Covers.com since 2003 and hasn't said anything remotely interesting in the last six years.
As every great leader has done before me, when the time to move on nears, it becomes our job to select the leader for the next generation. These kind of decisions have made for a lot of sleepless nights, attempting to find the right man for the role. Here are just a few of the candidates I'm considering:
BigfnPoo.
Saintsfan504.
Bookyman65.
Jay10 (Rooney rule).
Iw1nBets.
Seaweed.
RickeM.
Ace77.
I_Need_A_Detox.
BMA.
Colts03.
And there are many, many under the radar candidates I've been keeping my eye on.
Of course, there is always the chance I'll just book a weekend trip to the spa, get myself reinvigorated, and continue to thoroughly dominate as your leader. Those facials and massages do wonders.
