I've seen every idiotic reason in the world to take Duke tonight

- They want revenge

- They never lose to the same team twice

- I love those blue uniforms

- Coach K is the best

- FSU got lucky the first time

- They should win by 10

- FSU is 1-4 ATS last 5 games
 
- They are Duke!!

- They want the number 1 seed

my god, reading enough of this crap makes me want to bash my head into a wall. Take a look at actual on the court match-up's people because none of that other crap means a damn thing. 

For example.

How will the Duke offense create solid scoring chances in the half court against FSU? 

Can Rivers and Curry penetrate against an FSU defense known for not allowing dribble penetration? If not, will that impact how well they shoot the 3?

Can the Plumlee's do enough down low to hold their own against James, Gibson, and Kreft?

Folks if you can't answer these questions, or don't even know what the heck i'm talking about why are you even betting this game. You might as well go bet a cricket match. Because you know just as much about that as you do college basketball.

i'm not going any bigger or smaller than any other bet I make. Just a standard sized play on FSU for me. Just the reasons I see people posting for taking Duke are insane.

finally i see a thread that makes sense. i think fsu will win tonight. because of thier defense. duke will feel the pressure of having to sink shots from the outside and if fsu gets the lea to start the game that basket for duke will shrink and i think duke will miss more shots then they do. plus shooting on the road is always worst then at home.

fsu will get more easier pts as duke defense isnt that great. plus no inside game what so ever for dude. this isnt the duke of previous years where they have a big man who can create inside the paint

Why are they a better team? What makes them better? They are both 10-2 in ACC play and FSU beat them in their building last month. Are they better just because the front of their jerseys say "Duke" on them?

Plumlees can hold their own Dook won the rebound battle last game. The difference was FSU shooting 50% from three and 54% from the field compared to Dook shooting 39.7% from the field. Doubt that happens again.

I was. I just see that reasoning way to much on here. To be honest I know that Kentucky is ranked #1 other then that I have no idea where teams are ranked. It has no factor in the way I bet

Coach K might not get as many calls as he is used to getting at home.

Main thing is the 3 point shooting on the road. Can't be as good as at home in Cameron. Although it certainly was in NC!

I hate Duke and I really hate that they flop so much tryng to draw the charges, but they play hard and smart and hustle like hell and never give up. That plus Coach K getting the calls is worth a couple points per game.

I don't like to watch when I go against them. Especially if they getting the calls.

You think the Plumlees can hang with James and Gibson? I strongly strongly disagree. In their first meeting the Plumlee's combined to go 4-9 for 13 points. James and Gibson went 9-15 for 28 points. To me FSU has a HUGE advantage down low. The Plumlee's do alright against teams without solid big men. In a game like tonight though I look for them both to be non factors

theres also a trend this week of good CBB cappers giving solid analysis backing bad teams and then a bloodbath ensues.

Also Duke shooting 39.7% against FSU shouldn't come as a great shock. FSU is an ELITE defensive team. On the season they hold opponents to 37% FG. That wasn't luck, or a fluke. They do this to everyone, game in, game out

Backing bad teams? I really hope you don't consider FSU to be a bad team. This is a team that's 10-2 in ACC play, and one of the best... if not the best defensive team in the nation.

i have a friend/player on the team(FSU), went to high school w/ and he said they are "PUMPED to prove all the naysayers wrong, that the 1st game wasn't a fluke or luck"...

do w/ that info what you will, but i know who i will be on tonight...

Nice to see you post David! Not sure I will play the game, but agree with your reasoning. Way too many peopl bet on Duke, because they are Duke without looking at the matchup. Duke did this. Duke does that. Duke is better. Blah. Blah.
