my god, reading enough of this crap makes me want to bash my head into a wall. Take a look at actual on the court match-up's people because none of that other crap means a damn thing. 

For example.

How will the Duke offense create solid scoring chances in the half court against FSU? 

Can Rivers and Curry penetrate against an FSU defense known for not allowing dribble penetration? If not, will that impact how well they shoot the 3?

Can the Plumlee's do enough down low to hold their own against James, Gibson, and Kreft?

Folks if you can't answer these questions, or don't even know what the heck i'm talking about why are you even betting this game. You might as well go bet a cricket match. Because you know just as much about that as you do college basketball. 

 

completely agree, i believe it should be a good game, but fsu matches up well with Duke, and should win.. if fsu can get penetration and continue to hit the open shots i dont see duke having a consitent enough half court offense to maintain a lead throughout the game.. also, Curry is a below average defender, he should be exploited tonight.  My main worry for fsu is RIvers, but FSU's length might be able to alter his off balance shots. Should be a good game, but im favoring fsu in this one. bol

i will be shocked if duke wins this game.....only chance they have is if the contested threes that they love to hoist up go in....not very likely since fsu plays pretty good d and duke is on road.........................fsu's offenseive efficiency is also a concern, but they tend to play pretty well at home...im shocked i got +2.5 this morning...

Its easy to see why this will be a good game, and Duke will have no easy task scoring on FSU in the 1/2 court game.  However, FSU can be BRUTAL on offense for stretches in the 1/2 court.  Watching FSU and Pitt in the 1/2 court can be painful.  Duke at least runs a solid set offense and is dangerous on the break.  My question will be how FSU plays on the offensive end against an uncharacteristically bad Duke defense. 

Revenge, hard to beat Duke x2, etc... not buying that.  FSU has just as much motivation and home court.  Definitely no mental edge to Duke.

In all, I took Duke, only because I see Duke finding a way to 70+ points and just can`t see FSU getting there tonight.  Duke by 8, but can`t wait to watch!

Tough 2 beat any team twice in a season. another major factor that plays into this game, Is the fact that Fla St isnt in true form. Thats al i need to go against Fla St.... If you have anything better thats great for you,  IMO those 2 factors are good enough for me

Florida State isn't in true form? They've won 10 of their last 12 and all were ACC games. What exactly would you call true form?

one reason i think not to take duke, rivers dribbles to much and shots to much and does not look for his other teammates,just not a big fan of rivers

I never said they were idiots for backing Duke. 

I said the reasons behind them liking Duke had nothing at all to do with the game. 

I then suggested they actually look at on court match up's and things that actually will determine who wins and covers.

You were implying anyone believing those reasons was in idiot. When you call people idiots (whether its justified or not) you attract attention.  Why not just post your points without insulting posters.

Have seen these sort of threads a million times here...if you win you get to pay yourself on the back and the fluffers go beserk. If you lose the haters come in force...either way you get hits and responses... which is clearly what you're after.

I think revenge is definitely in the back of dukes mind but the real focus is on winning the acc outright and since duke has already beat unc they can't afford to lose this one so I see them coming out with a sense of urgency with rivers curry and the plumlees all bringing their A game so I like duke -2 but what do I know, gl to all
