Good news is that Center for disease control can afford to ease covid guidelines for the public to follow.  Thanks to vaccination and more remedies available to reduce risk of severe illness.  Mask recommendation is still unchanged though.    Despite improving trends, pandemic hasn't yet ended because average of almost 500 Americans still die daily from covid.  But in the long term, all pandemics eventually become endemic after several years.
