Helmut: staying late at work is rarely recognized

I don't blame you--If you get paid for 40 hours, then leave right after the 8 hours is done

Offices are filled with egos and back stabbers

People talk a lot of shit behind other people's backs

    Nah Covers is cool

Just didn't like that night when Wagerline got raided by Hoops

    Each site has different positives

Wagerline has a lot of contests and some really good cappers

Covers is an emoticon haven--I do love that

I like the stats here--very informative---

More frequent posting and a lot of insightful boards to check out

I like both sites---Maybe I'll come over to covers for an occasional  meal

this is true, but when i was in college and got paid by the hour, it didn't benifit me to work overtime, although i did many weeks if we were short handed(again, uncle owned dealership and I was lot attendant), it did not go to the bottom line because it was taxed. so basically i would work 10 hours of overtime, and get about 4 hours worth of it. that is bs.

Commute is nobody's fault but your own

I do know what you mean though about workers staying late.  You'd think it was because they are accomplishing more work.  99% of the time nothing could be further from the truth.  In my experience those who stay late are the same ones who jibber gibberish all day and are never in their office.  As a matter of fact, most people will be less productive during the day just so they would have stuff to do after hours so they could stay late and look productive, therefore impressing the bosses.

what about staying late to bang the secretary?

just make sure the janitor is not there.

The guy who owns a dealership in the next town over got caught fucking his secretary by his janitor and now his janitor is his top salesman.

I use to fuck our title clerk, it is only good to stay late if you are getting laid.

Who even works nowadays? Just tail 1 good capper and ride the wave.Collecting 1 G a week from western union is better than collecting a TAXED paycheck every friday for 40 hours worth of agony. A 6-4  weekly record at $550 a pop = 52 k a year.

Work sucks, period.  Why people like to hang out and talk with people they could've talked to all day instead of going home and doing what you want to do is beyond me.  Apparently that's what they like to do and have no life outside of work.  Poor saps!!

You might have to kick some ass so they stop talking shit on you.
or you could go postal on 'em

I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late,  I use the side door - that way Lumbergh can't see me, after that I just sorta space out for about an hour.
I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

They just love to brag it up about there kids and always are the ones who spend an entire day collect money to buy some beast who’s popping there fourth child a baby shower gift. Last time I made up an excuse and got out of giving $10 because I already will be paying a lot in taxes to put this kid through school and pay for its health care. As far as I’m concerned I should be the one getting a nice gift for there kid in thanks for the 40K a year I pay in taxes for all these bullshit social programs.
