Prior to the series beginning, I gave Miami the slight advantage over Dallas based on the fact that they had home court advantage entering the Finals. I believed Dallas would need to win two games in Miami in order to become champion this year since I did not feel Dallas could sweep the middle three home games. In my eyes, the roleplayers of Dallas would not be able to hold up for two road wins VS Miami’s Big Three and therefore Miami would be champion.
Fast forward a couple weeks later. Dallas has a series lead of 3-2. Miami has home court advantage. Dallas needs to win one more game in Miami in order to become champion. Everything is right on schedule.
Has my opinion on the outcome of this series changed? No.
Miami will become World Champion on Tuesday. That’s no disrespect to Dallas. If I didn’t respect Dallas, I wouldn’t have hedged out of my Miami In-Season Futures by taking Dallas To Win The Championship prior to Game 1.
Why am I still confident in Miami? LeBron James.
You’re probably getting ready to go on a LeBron James rant right now, and trust me, I did for at least an hour prior to writing this blog. His fourth quarter performances thus far have been inexcusable.
Whether you like him or not, he’s still LeBron James. He’s held at such a high standard that even a triple double is a bashing point for his critics. When’s the last time you saw an individual hit a triple double and still get crushed by the media?
It’s LeBron James time. With a King’s performance in Game 6 and Game 7, the history of this series will be rewritten in a way that acknowledges LBJ as the best player in the game today rather than the choke artist he’s being portrayed as by the national media. Somehow, the media seems to have forgotten his heroics in closing out Round 2 and Round 3, yeah?
LeBron James is the most criticized player of my generation, but don’t lose money over your hate for him like you did while backing Boston and/or Chicago.
On June 14th, 2011, you are cordially invited to witness the coronation of The King, LeBron James.

Sorry Sarah J but you must be smoking something really really good
That would be a good excuse, but even if you smoked an ounce of green crack you aren't this stupid and ignorant. I don't think she has had one good take since she has been on here, just making a fool of herself

Why would you hedge out of your Miami Heat futures bet by taking Dallas prior to game 1 if you think Miami will win it? Seems like a waste of money to me right?

i wish covers would just put this alias/mascot Sarahjphil to rest... He is annoying and to pretend that this is a girl is just immature. The same picture here with the heat is the exact same picture she has with the liberty shirt on..
Anyways, this is the last time you will see me comment or enter any of HIS threads..

Makes no sense though. The Heat have been the favorite or close to the favorite to win the title all year. The Mavs only opened at +160 to win the series. Hedging wouldnt even net a full unit gain for every unit bet

I won't weasel (correct spelling) out of anything like the Chicago Bulls backers from my "Miami over Chicago" threads that so bravely stated they'd return to the threads after the series ended, proclaiming me an "idiot" and what not in Miami after they were blown out in Game 1 of that series:
Beware The Curse of Krause, Bulls Fans!
Derrick Rose: Most Improved Player, not MVP.
All Hail The King! LeBron James.
Surprising NBA Conference Finals Observations
You can give me all the crap you want IF Dallas wins. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get the opportunity.
Just an FYI though: getting crap from online posters doesn't impact me. I hope it doesn't impact you, either.

That's an awesome observation on the jersey that I stated already. Good effort.
The whole "he/his" stuff is lame. Try another angle. It got old a couple months ago.

Absolutely ridiculous. He is not even the best player on his shit-stacked team. Best athlete? Probably...Best player? No.
There is more of a chance that we can finally confirm that this "Sam" J. Phillips is the lover of Queen LeBlah Jamie or at least his spin doctor publicist. WOW.
And if this undeserving crap team from South Beach do win, then it surely will not be because of Choke Artist (Averages 2.2 pts in clutch time 4th quarter) James.
