Hello gents, lets continue last years thread where we left off shall we?

Shout outs to our crew from last year (my sincere apologies if i may have forgotten anyone): 

DruDowns, ODB, BWS, WMI, Hugh, ParlayBuster, and even latecomer Scal  who is more than welcome to contribute here from the beginning...all egos checked at the front door ok fellas? No need for record keeping unless anyone chooses to self track for their own capping and bankroll accountability purposes...we all know that who ever chooses to post picks and discuss games here knows what theyre doing and its not their first rodeo.

Its going to he a hard act to follow, but i am confident we all will do well here for another long hoops journey.

FYI, i honestly believe hoops wagering is all about ingame betting, looking for +EV opportunities based on an original lean or soft cap before the game starts...last season was a gold mine for anyone wagering ingame following this simple principle...also just remember that most ingame lines are not 100% live...if you are watching a game on "live tv" or online streaming, there is still a 10-15sec delay in the feed...dont get trapped into taking a bad line when betting live...ALWAYS wait for an official timeout to allow yourselves to get the true line.

Disclaimer...as last year i realize i hijacked the thread at times following international hoops ingames wherever +EV of 15pts or more was spotted with my running partner Dru, i will start a seperate thread for international hoops so to not clutter this thread...as i am sure only a very small number of you guys follow that degen stuff (mind you, Dru and I scooped up countless amounts of units from all those soft ingame lines around the globe, so dont laugh!), and not all books offer obsure international hoops ingame lines like b365 or WillHill does.

Heres what im already locked in with from before:

Raptors to win the East +800 (got it just before the Leonard stuff became official when local outlets here were leaking the potential trade)...currently sits at approx +350 so im very happy with this investment.

Lakers SWT Under 48.5

OKC SWT Over 49.5

Heres what im also considering:

Cavs Under 30.5

Spurs Over 45.5

Atlanta Under 23.5

Phx Under 29.5

Knicks Under 29.5

Rookie of Year (total crapshoot if anyone gets hurt, but these 2 players i fully expect to get the most minutes throughout the season to run their teams O thru)

Sexton +800

Doncic +300

Who really knows with Trae Young given the state of the nba nowadays...its all O and no D...plus hes essentially got the next few years to dik around in Atlanta with zero pressure to win...but yes i have been on the record quite early in thinking Young will be a bust...the comparisons to Steph early on last year were ridiculous and all media overblown hype...hes going to get torched every time the other team has the ball.

Just heard on VSiN that James is most likely not going to see any action during the preseason...what that means to me is that the first 10-20 games for the Lakers are going to be treated like a "preseason", integrating all these new pieces together, trying new lineups, rotations, bench, etc...Is Walton really up for this? Is he capable to run this team? I do think hes a decent coach and the players from last year love the guy...but the first 20 games, i will be shocked if the Lakers at 10-10...im seeing a very rocky start for this team...48.5 Under is a max unit wager for me.

Sexton +900...2 unit...decided to lay off Doncic, at 3-1 just not enough there for me to lock up a few units all season long on essentially a lotto ticket without much to go on...Sexton will be my only pre-race horse.

MVP:

Leonard +700...3u...homer pick yes, but let's call it a "Kawhi the Kanuck Redemption Tour Season"...I think the Raps will be either #1/2 in the conference and thus garner enough media attention for the MVP talks on hoops talk radio all year long...he's arguably the best player in the entire conference right now based on pedigree and accomplishments alone...assuming he's 100% healthy, he will dominate when he's on the court...and off the court, he will most likely fall in love with the city, the organization, and the fans...I expect a huge year from him especially if he wants to get paid the following offseason.

Cavs Under 30.5 wins (-125)...5u...dumpster fire alert...this team is going to be bad.

Previous investments include Lakers under 48.5 for 5u, OKC over 49.5 for 5u, and Raps to win east +800 for 5u

So, going into the season with 25u invested...will tread extremely carefully first 2 months of the season, and likely will not get involved with to many single game wagers until December, unless there's too much value ingame on a random match.
