This trade between the Mavs and Nets is looking to be a bit more substantial than rumor.
"Kidd and F Malik Allen will go to Dallas for Harris, G/F Jerry
Stackhouse, C DeSagana Diop, G/F Devean George, G Maurice Ager, $3
million and two future No. 1 draft picks. And in a seperate deal, the
Nets will send G/F Antoine Wright to Dallas for a future second-round
pick."

I just don't see how this improves Dallas at all unless they can get Stack back after he is released and clear waivers. They will struggle big-time upfront if they lose Diop against SA,PHX, and LA

Does seem the bizarro world tactic in respect to recent trades. Maybe they think that these teams will be sedentary and maybe they can run them out of the gym. I know small ball doesn't win in the playoffs, but it isn't like they won't still have big bodies and voracious defenders (unlike Phoenix pre-Shaq trade).

True but that D takes a big hit losing Diop.(bigger than the Kidd over Harris upgrade). Theyre gonna regret this trade in 3 years.... maybe less.
Im probably just bitter because Im hoping the Cavs somehow land a pg. If Cassell goes to Boston, I will officially hate the NBA

They'll regret it in respect to Harris, for sure. The draft picks are a little hefty, as well. I'm not a big Diop supporter and I don't think he helps them in the playoffs, anyways. They probably lost out when it came to not getting Shaq, in all honesty. They needed a big guy inside more than Phoenix did.
You're right about Cleveland, though. It's all part of a larger conspiracy to get Lebron to New York.
