Holy smokes you posted it a year ago. I'd really appreciate the link. I'd take a look at the 28 day trend as well. It'd be nice to study a 6 month trend to see if they play through their PMS days, and how they perform. Perhaps just to see how they perform also on Grand Slam events.
Don't know where it is from a year back... maybe longer but here's me bitching about it in Aug.
You might find my Nadal Conspiracy theory fun reading too.

My third action would be #11 Milos Raonic -900 vs #79 Michal Przysiezny. This is the Shanghai Masters and the match is going to start 8:05 AM EST on Tuesday - 10/8/2013.
So it's Risking 900 to win 100.
I know it's a super heavy chalk but all things point out to a #11 Raonic victory here. Plus Canada needs something to cheer about other than professional Hockey, and this guy is the One Man Team Canada in another sport that doesn't involve sporting skates.
So far this year:
Quality of opponents he has the edge going against top 10 players with a record of 3-7, as opposed to 0-1 for his opponent.
Hard court matches he is 32-9 as opposed to 4-5 for his opponent.
After winning the first set he is 33-2, as opposed to 5-1 for his opponent.
He's been in a lot of battles and matches, which makes him tougher constitution wise as he is 41-18 in overall matches so far, as opposed to his opponent who is 8-10 in overall matches so far.
Heavy chalk. Yes. So in a span of 24 hours, this is my third action in Tennis. There is always that small percentage of "upset fever" which can happen in any match, but I have a feeling in Tennis wagering, you have to go with your gut feeling sometime.
So, I am backing, "O Canada! Our home and native land! ..."

Thanks Babyboy88, really appreciate it. But as you know, all it takes is one monumental upset and I have to rethink everything. But I'm still going to go through with it with my guts. I think Tennis wagering aside from stats, is a Gut Feeling type of betting. You gotta have a strong stomach to go through a tight match with a heavy chalk bet.
But I have my barf bag just in case it happens down the line in the future. Hopefully it's not too soon.

I also like this play, but with the -4.5 handicap. Raonic should be motivated to play as he still has a chance to get into the top 8 for the end of year tournament. As a result, I think it will be a 2 set victory for Raonic, something like 6-3 6-3

Good luck with that. I'm betting on my local book which, unfortunately only offers ML on Tennis. But that's okay. I am thinking of opening up an online account as I have seen they offer many other Tennis lines and various ATS lines as well.
What book do you use online for betting on Tennis if I may ask?

When I first started wagering tennis I used to take lines like this (A little shorter actually) and parlay them. I always found lowering what you put on the table most fortunate in the long run. Parlaying these three if I'm not mistaken means you could have gotten:
-152.
So risk 606/300.
Food for thought. Tennis has wide lines and big upests in comparison to other sports.
Just a thought.

Food for thought:
-500 -830 -900
Your risk was 2230 to win 300

Thanks for that. An interesting article I came across from a medical website, but the post does not exist anymore where the doctor was talking about Serena Williams losing in the 2nd round in 2004 due to her period. So I googled it, and this was the match she lost, which was around October 28th. So she has her period at the end of the month. Interesting.

She's an interesting one. I think she's on testosterone now. She looks a little too Mauresmo if you know what I mean.

lol, good luck trying to cap menstrual cycles. Irregularity isn't uncommon for high-performance athletes. Forget about that and study the lines. Learn the key numbers and develop your sense of finding good bets.

Thanks for the advise on that. I was thinking about it yesterday. Perhaps when I open up an onlline book, I can avail myself to this Parlay option in Tennis. It does make more sense having less risk. After all that's what makes this approach to Tennis interesting. I do want to see how this pans out for the rest of the year.

She's a beast on the court. I don't want to touch her games because I don't want to chance touching her game as a heavy favorite and all of a sudden a few hours prior to her match starting, she suddenly gets those migraines. I remember she has a migraine problem.
However, if I do decide to back her on a wager, I'd be happy to send her a Fedex of EXCEDRIN Migraine headache pills as they do get rid of the migraine in about half an hour.

My leans would have been #2 The Joker, but I am not insane enough to risk 4,000 to win 100, so that is out of the question. This is a case of using my head instead of guts, as there are many other matches to choose from.
I like #13 John Isner's gutsy performance in his last match, it could carry over on his next matchup against #44 Carlos Berlocq. They have faced each other previousl at Roland Garros this past late spring, and #13 Isner won in three straight sets.
I like #8 Stanislas Warinka in his matchup against #20 Kevin Anderson. Besides defeating his opponent twice in previous matchups, #8 Warinka is a beast in the court; he is 7+8 vs top 10 competition this year as opposed to his opponent who is 1-8 vs top 10 competition.
Those are my leans on the ATP in the next 24 hour matches in Shanghai, China.
In reference to WTA, I am leaning on #20 Samantha Stosur who on paper looks like she overpowers #279 Belinda Bencic. They haven't faced each other yet.
I like the matchup between #10 Angelique Kerber vs #45 Monica Niculescu. #10 Kerber has defeated her in their last 2 matchups in 2011 and 2012, while #45 Niculescu won their first matchup back in 2008. She's a heavy chalk as a favorite here. Out of the four matchups I mentioned, this is the last one to start at 8:00 AM on October 9, so I can decide on this one tomorrow morning.

My fourth action would be a 4 pick Parlay. #8 Stanislas Wawrinka -275, #13 John Isner -400, #20 Samantha Stosur -430, and #10 Angelique Kerber -600. The first two are the Shanghai Masters, followed by the HP Japan Open, and finally the Gereali Ladies Linz. The first match starts at 2:15 AM EST on Wednesday - 10/9/2013.
The odds on this one is +145.
So it's risking 100 to win 145.

So it's Risking 425 to win 100.
#20 Stosur is in the primer of her career at age 29, as opposed to her opponent #279 Bencic who is only 16. At the same time the quality of competition is definitely on the edge of #20 Stosur on this one, with all stats pointing in her direction. On paper this is a mismatch indeed. But that's on paper, we all know there is that little speck of chance for the upset, but we lean towards the majority of non-upset results in my gut feeling for this match.

I don't like the Stosur play. Sure she might win, but look how well Bencic has been playing and Stosur is known as being a choker. Bencic's current ranking is definitely not indicative of her ability as can be seen from her previous matches in this tournament

You have a point as there is always an underdog factor having a chance in all games. I'm still going with my guts in this one.
Here's something to look forward to in the HP Japan Open, #54 Kimiko Date Krumm on midnight October 11th. I like her chances, Home Underdog indeed. She's listed at -160 in an early line right now.

I'm going with the experienced player in her prime as opposed to the young one. Most of the young one's matches were against triple digit ranked players and has lost to them as well. As long as there is no sudden retirement from the game or any ailments, this should be an okay win for the favorite.
