Every team that began this round with home field advantage will be eliminated. Participating in and winning the wild card round is a great igniter, and that 5-day layoff is a killer for the other team.

In three seasons with this current playoff format, there's been only one team out of 12 in the Divisional round that managed to win Games 1 and 2 at home.

When the other team returns home for Game 3 having gained a split or won both on the road, I think they benefit from a super jacked home crowd.

Game 3 home teams are now 8-1 in this round if they gained at least a split to start the series. The one loser was the Twins last year who split out in Houston and then got smashed at home in Game 3, 9-1.

It appears the Phillies never recovered from last October’s legendary choke at home in Games 6 and 7 of the NLCS. What a pitiful showing this time around. They barely won one game while getting beat by more than two runs in every other game.

Why did this thread get placed in the Penalty Box?  Asking Bator what MLB playoffs games he may be playing has been a tradition for the last 20 years.  

This is the second time I am in covers jail, the first time, nothing to argue about, Mich D wanted to lie and I had to expose him, so we went at it, but this time is a JOKE.....

2 dudes going at it, I am laughing about it, one of the dudes come my way and take a swing, of course I am going to swing back, and I am here, make zero sense! I’m on the Clevelanders and the Tigers over 6.5 -105 as well as the Yankees and Royals under 4 +110 in the 1st 5 innings. The under 4 +110 is the larger bet. Since May 20th, Michael Wacha’s ERA at home in the 1st 5 innings is 2.14. 

Since June of 2023, Gerrit Cole has an ERA of 1.98 in the 1st 5 innings of any game that followed a start in which he allowed more than 2 earned runs. He allowed 3 earned runs to the Royals in Game 1.

I hear he's magnetic.
