Please elaborate, because while I agree with 90% of what you say on here, I think this is utterly ridiculous, in fact I would say based upon Gus's calls if anything he was trying to GIVE the game to Clemson not the other way around.
I understand a lot of you have a bad taste in your mouth because Clemson didn't cover for you but damn use your heads and not your heart here.
I warned all of you that Auburn's defense was not going to be anything to sneeze at this year, which means regardless of how the offense might play, AU will stay in some games they shouldn't and cover spreads that confuse some people.
It's almost the same as the Boston College effect. BC had no business being in the ballpark with FSU, Notre Dame, Louisville etc. last year but they did because they had a DEFENSE.
Far too many of you guys from what I can see overlook what a good defense can do, and way more of you overlook what a good SPECIAL TEAMS can do in hidden yardage.
It is what it is, Clemson probably should have covered but the reasons they didn't had nothing to do with fixing and whatever was attempted to be "fixed" on Clemson's part was ameloriated by whatever the hell Gus was trying to do with his QB carousel and literally putting a fullback in the backfield trying to run the WING T.
