  Im liking the Niners myself! Great Idea with this tread Robin Hood ! I am a single Bachlor, but I have Ok fixed income, retired in a way, and this is my favorite time of year! Love the non taxable xtra cash, but it takes "WORK" ! I am 47 and started back in 1986! I have learned a lot, and one goal your in it to win it, using money management respectfully! Yet sometimes I see a capper I know has skillz and have seen them bank, then some will come out with a thread, LARGE, or some audacious post, on a certain game? I step up on a game every once in a while, but always have another play with the same amount where Ill push at the worst! I learned years ago, one cant win numerous plays and lose it back on one! No matter how strong you feel it is, anything can happen and all that work on the winners gone, by a freak play or whatever on that one "big" play?  Welcome to Covers friend, and what Ive seen so far is your holding your own! Ive seen guys come in and kill, and then go up in flames never to hear from them again? Its a marathon, not a sprint I am sure you agree, and if you wanna be here the long term that dont work! GL Robin

I appreciate the winners.

The Ball St. was a pretty awful pick.  Out of all the games on the slate today you take a team with a freshman QB who can't throw the football and has not been dominant on any side of the ball yet this season? 

I'm just sayin...I don't know what you saw in this game.  Kind of scary actually.

Want to point that Robin O' the Hood preached MONEY MANAGEMENT from post number 1.   He has an pre-determined bankroll a plan (1 game a day), and straight bets the same small percentage of his Roll, almost always with reasonable juice.

SO ANYBODY TAILING BALL STATE TODAY SHOULD JUST BE OUT ONE UNIT.

Is the man playing in this game contributing to 4 turnovers in 1st quarter?????  

His plan takes ALL the stress away from gambling and focuses on making money. 

 BUT, I'm sure many jumped on THIS play , and some at big wagers , trying to catch lightning in a bottle.



IF YOUR CRYING , YOU AREN'T FOLLOWING HIS ADVISE.

ALWAYS  BET JUST  a SMALL PECENTAGE OF YOUR BANKROLL

ALWAYS BET THE SAME AMOUNT

ALWAYS BE PATIENT

The 2% of gamblers he referred to who actually make money consistantly , and I plan on being one of them,

DO NOT GAMBLE, THEY ARE NOT ADDICTED ANYMORE TO ACTION.

THEY INVEST WISELY and REPONSIBLY.

In years past , I would have chased, bet another play , as soon as my play was going down , "to get my money back". Maybe even drop 5-10 units on a big fav ML for "an easy win". Usually it worked , and when it didn't , GAVE IT ALL BACK.

Just move on to tomorrow  , its a marathon

AGree though that this was an iffy pick at best, It was their homecoming after 3 games on road, and I guess he thought they'ed rise to the occasion, but REVENGE factor for W Mich was huge, on top of being able to spoil homecoming for Ball St., on top of other isues as well, frosh qb etc...

I fully understand what you are saying. 

It is just scary to me that with forty some odd football games and MLB games that Ball State was the pick. 

Blows my mind actually.

neo...i agree!!!  this was and will be the only pick i make today so after three winning days in a row it is no big deal to loose this one.  of course i would have liked to win but im not stressing about it.  even if i loose the next two on sunday and monday i am still up on his picks.  making the one bet definitely takes the stress out of betting and frees up my weekends.  usually i would take this Ball St pick and by now i would be pissed that it was loosing so i would be looking for another game to play wagering more then i did on this one.  the point is, that i will take this loss and not worry about it.  i can enjoy the rest of my day with my family instead of trying to play everything on the board LOL!!!

 In the past I'd be in a bad mood, kids be asking "DADDY , why are you grumpy",    and I'd do the same , gamble some more.   

Besides eliminating the stomach churning LOWS of losing , what it really does is take the "HIGH" out of winning , which like any drug, you end up needing more and more to get the same "feeling".  

WHICH IS GOOD, because life is NOT about that WINNING HIGH, its about enjoying your life!

 FOLLOW the above advise with REAL MONEY!!!

Try to get in the habit of using COVERS PICKS with their monopoly money , as many as you like,  f*ck, bet 'em all if you want.

DO you think I care if I have BLACK STARS??????

just proves to me you shouldn't play alot of plays with REAL MONEY!!


If you want prove, LOOK AT ANY OF THE TOP CAPPERS in THE CONTESTS, ANY YEAR

FRICKEN NOBODY OVER TIME, picking a bunch of picks, GETS OVER 56%, 

NOBODY!

and get this, If you look at the WORST PICKERS , the guys at the bottom,  THE WORST GUY IS NO WORSE THAN 47%.

so WORST TO BEST  ,  47% to 56%

SHould open your eyes if you understand what that stuff means.

1) Appreciate that he takes the time to post his picks
2) Is he holding a gun to your head to make the bet? Win or Lose YOU made the bet
3) Follow his trends and plays and you will be ahead
4) Its that simple
5) 1 play a day unless otherwise stated

First off I never normally comment on any of this S*** as there are so many haters who try to take a guy down, but decided to make an exception. I agree with all of the anti-hater comments. You cannot expect the guy to go 100% since if anyone was that good, we'd all just quit our jobs and gamble full time LOL. After all he has been on an incredible run so for so THANK YOU RH for taking the time to share and making us a little bit of $$. While I tailed him on Ball ST, I also backstopped with BCOLL at NCST so I don't feel bad cause he lost 1 game. Take it and move on. Tomorrows another day...

good shit, One a day!

can i get a better explanation of my bank roll ( 2.5%)

so if my bank roll is $500, the max i should bet on the one day a game rule, should be $12.5 ?  
$12.5 x 365 days a week = $4,562.5 x 60%=$2,737.5 profit hmm? sounds good!  $50k a year makes better sense, maybe i should dig deep and bank roll 5k the end of year # would be good for me.
I just need to Stay strong and stick to the plan One a Day.

I think that  "Robin" is providing a service to those on this site that can NOT do their own handicapping to win $.

His 1 a day selection may seem unorthodox, but this is what works for him.  Nobody should complain about his approach. It is likely his way of staying focused, without a lot of disttractions. Bravo to ROBIN for figuring out what works for him over time. Most people never reach that point of success. Additionally, you should NEVER complain about a  losing selection, because this method works for HIM.

We all have different  methods for getting the green. He obviously focuses on trends and angles to a certain degree. If it works, nobody should complain. If you think you can do better, start your own thread and display your talents.

Personally, I try to post from time to time, but the fullness of my every day life, combined with the stresses of gambling, make it difficult to devote the extra time neccessary to supply a polished product. It takes an enormous amount of effort to live, handicap and post. I appreciate and thank anybody that does this at a high level, and is willing to share this information.

There are NO shortcuts to making money or to being a successful handicapper.

I give credit to "ROBIN" for providing the time and effort it takes just to supply, what appears to be on the surface, a finshed product.
