I find this post partisan garbage. Several Left leaning communities had prosecutors running for election not saying I will enforce the law blindly and equally, but rather "I will dedicate my time getting Trump".

This Stalinistic third world behavior that has no place in this country. If I fill out a loan application and it says to the best of your knowledge what is the value of your assests and I put down a figure the assessors later say is much less am I going to jail? Has this happened before? Show me past organizations that went to trial for this.

Do you really think banks hand out loans based on the applicants net worth claims?

If I apply for a business loan and say I own properties A B, and C and there are NO such properties THAT IS FRAUD. Any reasonable person knows that is the reason these laws exist. 

If I say I believe my property is worth $2 million and the lenders assessor says $1.2 million I would not be sent to court facing charges.

So I will ask you the same thing, it is a felony to falsify a financial document in order to obtain a loan or credit line or to qualify for a conditional purchase, that is the law. So are you saying that Trump is above the law or that the law is erroneous and should not be enforced?

It is one way or the other and as it currently sits a felony to falsify financial documents and sign your lovely signature to the bottom line. You cannot say that the law is not enforced and it is thus not valid. Just because YOU have not been brought up on charges or had your loan revoked for falsifying documents, the law still stands and until it is removed or changed (which will never happen, that law protects financial institutions and governments from fraud) you have to follow it and Trump also has to follow it.

The difference between you and the big boy is he hires accountants and lawyers to make sure legal docs are legit, you just trust zillow and your real estate agent that is a big big difference.

I think the technicality is that states have the option of not allowing candidates on the ballot, in addition it is grounds for impeachment even though that has been proven to be a joke the last decade or so.

Typical twist of words. Spelled it out in previous posts. Saying you have assests that you do not is fraud. Saying you believe your assests are worth X amount, putting that on paper,  and the bank or judge believes different is NOT fraud.

It is the law if you falsify financial documents in order to obtain loans, credit lines, to reduce property taxes whatever scenarios it is against the law to sign your name knowingly falsifying financial documents. Does that mean you are going to be zapped immediately or at all? NO, but it is fully within all legal bounds to prosecute someone and especially a business who falsifies financial documents.

Why would you be shocked that financial institutions and governments have legal frameworks for how corps function, how they obtain financing and operate as legal institutions? Is this some newsflash to you that if you knowingly falsify financial documents that you can be legally prosecuted?

Fraud is a felony, read that again...fraud is a felony.

I am not wanting a line by line 100 reply back and forth but to your second point it does not matter if he never missed a payment or that "nobody was harmed" it is still the law and banks would not lend to someone who inflates property values in order to obtain or extend credit/loan capacities. It means zero that Trump is a great guy and never missed a payment and employs 100,000,000 people..if you knowingly or even not knowingly sign your name or act as a principal for a corp and inflate your financial holdings, that is fraud that is against the law and anyone even big boy can be prosecuted.

He knows this....you should as well.

If you think you are going to get any die hard Trumpers in here to admit that Trump broke laws or engaged in any wrongdoing in any fashion, I think you should understand that is not happening. Such a case would probably focus on the separation of powers, with Mr. Trump’s lawyers arguing that keeping a duly elected president in prison would be an infringement by the judicial branch on the operations of the executive branch.

Even at your estimate -- 2% of 20 million is a lot of folks.  I would worry about what those other 2% want.  That is an awful lot of people that are not coming for a better life and to work.
