@BigGame90
The charts told us this was bound to happen....
Just wonder how low we go...initially thought somewhere around 3000 or around the pre-covid numbers...but the best support is around 2700 and then way down at 2000
I guess 2800-2900 has some good support on the 5 year...

@dubz4dummyz
time will tell. I think we're in for a big pull back and I think we've just cracked the ice within the last 1.5 months. Waiting to see where we're at come Dec and Jan might be rough. Currently having fun playin the ODTE spy puts. Either losing 100% or makin 400% in an hour before close. Think we might have one more fake out rally in Oct and then the rug gonna get pulled to end the year and into next.
Keeping an eye on Kcblitz prediction after Spy closes below 365 back from May...

@kcblitzkrieg
So you attribute this drop to Biden?
The drop is 100% due to Jerome not Joe.
The market ramped after Covid even with several business sectors saying supply chain was becoming an issue, yet the drop started when Jerome started raising rates, the market does not really move off federal government deficits or surpluses or how moronic or self centered the president is, the market moves off liquidity and cheap capital outside of unplanned shocks.
Notice yesterday the market ramped and dumped, was that because Joe misspoke or the government gave stim checks mid day? No the market thought they saw Jerome signal the FED is done with rate hikes, the market ramped and then Jerome reversed course and the market tanked and tanked today.
Nice try...

Hi I’m new here and like your name, so Biden gets all the credit for the market being up, but when the market is down Biden is off the hook? Can’t have it both ways imo

Wallstreet....no, you are severely mistaken.... I have posted on this numerous times, I have enough posts for small novel talking about the Jerome, FED and markets. You aren't telling ME anything I don't already know....it is the retreads that started this thread and in the political forum that I've been banging the drum on. I have plenty of receipts around here for show and tell, some need bumped now and then.
Look at the title of this thread....hence, where my focus on "the stock market is not the economy" came from. It turned into a joke because of this thread (read the posts that started this all). I've been banging on the clown show since. They are a joke. This is not a partisan issue and they made it one from the start....so I have been helping educated them all since....nice try my azz

I was going off post 309, but you are also quite aware Ive never given Biden credit for anything so of course that is not my position at all.
I think those guys are crafting that narrative because of the moron president before him and the MANY posters here who pounded the other side for four years relentlessly, so they are rebounding off that absurd crap we all had to deal with.

Idk, I never saw the cesspool that is the politics forum prior to the 2020 election. If you say so, sounds about right.
I just call out the BS like it is presented to me, and that sub forum is overflowing with cow dung so far based from reality it is beginning to not even be funny anymore. The counter partisan thread in the politics forum was created as a parody to this, now Boxed thread. This gem should be unboxed and moved back to the cesspool sub...imho.

The reason it was boxed was it went too far, when any thread goes too far and is not about reasonable discussion and sharing information it CAN be boxed, but as you know we allow tons of crap in that forum and it has been said several times that outside those long standing partisan threads, if new stuff comes up and it turns into a mess then it will be boxed and that is what happened here.
In reality that whole section could be cleaned out, the real valuable content which could exist and discussion that might happen never does, too many partisan angry people unable to have conversations without making it personal and breaking the rules.

Just a slow steady roll-back to pre-covid numbers....anywhere from 2700-3300 ...3300 probably too high as that was the peak rush right before covid....they working towards those support levels (sp500)

Sub 3500 levels due up post 1Q-2Q earnings periods when the big misses will start rolling in.... the "transitory camp clowns" are now saying inflation is subsiding.... the next policy mistake will be the yo yo'ing of rates when inflation numbers jump back higher unexpectedly. Then we will be ready for those sub 3000 numbers

We are approaching this time....inflation narrative was that is was "subsiding". Policy was that .25% rate hikes were in place and terminal rate was going above 5%. The "yo yo'ing of rates" time they have already started commenting on as we are going to see some HOT cpi and ppi numbers come in...
JPoW just gave 2 days of congressional testimony on the following:
SUMMARY OF POWELL TESTIMONY (3/7/23):
1. Peak rate will be "higher than anticipated"
2. Revisions show inflation "higher than expected"
3. Minimal deflation in services
4. Decisions to be made "by meeting"
5. Inflation "to be bumpy" A pivot from hawkish to more hawkish.
