I am disturbed reading what you have provided & if all is true, it's disheartening but will not change my vote. Almost every Friday morning, I go fishing with 3 other vets. We were all sick to our stomachs trying to decide truth from lies. The conversation left us more confused than before our fishing trip. Even the beers we had later didn't help clarify things. However, our resolve hasn't changed.

But I can assure you Guardsmen stick with Guardsmen usually but my fellow Guardsmen this is making circles with are not supporting Walz and frankly it makes me sick that someone would some how not see the difference in abandoning your post to dodging the draft. Both are horrible yes agreed. Trump isn't exactly a man I would prefer to support. But leaving your men possible in harms way is unforgivable. Despite Midnight calling me a joke my unit and his unit are separated by literally 200 miles. I have many mutual connections. I will talk to someone who served under him soon. I am certain he was not well liked or respected. But if that isn't the case maybe just maybe I will give Walz another look despite how much I hate how he drove Minnesota into the ground.

It's not so munch the abandonment issue, but rather the timing of it as to when he decided to retire based on when his unit got the word to deploy...there seems to be some information or misinformation out there that he did indeed file for his retirement before the deployment order was issued and then there are those who were in his unit that are saying to eh contrary...if his unit feels he abandoned them because they got the order to deploy then that's hard to swallow as those guys would have trained to be deployed and then they would say he chickened out or deserted them...
The issues or concern is that of his rank and what he had out there as his bio on the net and then was subsequently changed once he was given the nod...
There is no question the man served and for the length of time specified, but there is an unspoken oath these guys take once their unit is constructed and they are to have each other's back....if you leave your unit once an order to deploy is issued then it does and will have it's effect on the entire unit as to your integrity as a man...it doesn't negate his service rendered and that is not an issue at all, but if he bailed on his unit once orders to deploy were issued that does tell you what kind of man he is...if it is legitimate that he filed for retirement before the orders to deploy were given then you cannot fault him for that...

You really don’t get it. Re-read what ABN again. Then think if it was your brother serving under the command of someone with first sign of combat high tails it out of harms way. That is what is being said. I am sure there will be some testimonials directly about it soon. If you can’t get that then you really are just a party stollie and you provide no substance.
