Systemic racism in America (denied by conservatives, of course)

Who’s in charge of the top cities for overall crime in the country? The majority of cities are currently led by Democrats, so that is not fair. Now let’s look at a per-capita basis instead, where nine out of 10 are led by Democrats, and one city (Springfield, Missouri) is led by an independent.

Let’s examine the cities with the biggest rise in murder rates from 2019 to 2020. New York City, Chicago and New Orleans are at the top the list and led by Democrats, while Miami, Fort Worth and Jacksonville are led by Republicans. The top 10 cities with the largest per capita homeless population are all also led by Democrats.

 

Is it a fair to say that there’s a link between the policies of the political left and high homelessness and crime rates? While this may improve their crime rates, it fails to solve the underlying issue.

Society as a whole needs to ditch the victim mentality

No, it's fair to say there is a link between population size and high homelessness and crime. How many cities over 400K have Republican leadership. Believe me, if you googled crime rates, poverty rates, for cities under 100K... under 200K, or even just got out and saw the U.S., you will find plenty of cities with Republican leadership where crime, poverty, and drug addiction are rampant. Don't get me wrong, policy contributes to these problems, but the fact is the the dregs of society flock to big cities. You think all the people in San Francisco shooting up and shitting on the streets were actually born in San Francisco? Few were. This isn't a defense of Democratic policies or politicians. I maintain residences in two of the more infamous shithole states and I can't stand any of the politicians and disagree with many of the policies. I'm just also aware of how nuanced these issues are.

Totally agree with ditching the victim mentality. No doubt. 

As for crime and cities, the Democrats are responsible for crime is probably the most dubious argument made by the right today.

The cities with the highest crime and homeless rates are the largest cities in the country. More people = More crime and higher homelessness, plain and simple.

It's not simply Democratic leadership. Sure policy has something to do with combatting crime, but lets not act like throwing Republican officials in the largest cities in America is going to lead to some drastic decline in crime and homelessness. 

Be realistic. 

If you want this housing issue, you fix the people not the system. You need to look at the crime levels, education levels of the areas before looking at the price and pinning it on racism.  The correlation is with education and racisms. Of course there are some stereotypes but if you want the stereotype to decrease or go away, need to start fixing the issues. 

This isn’t true. People like Giuliani have cleaned up cities before. 

His enemies will say the numbers are better under DeBlasio than they were under Giuliani but Giuliani was a game changer. He took the city when it was a crime ridden shit hole and put it on the right path. 

San Francisco is turning into a complete cesspool as a direct result of far left policies. Portland as well. 

Detroit, St Louis, Baltimore, and Chicago are all hell holes created by far left politicians who are concerned with appeasing the “equality” crowd instead of doing what’s best for the city and the tax payers. 

The problem is culture and welfare. But that’s almost illegal to talk about. And because it’s illegal to talk about it will never be fixed. 

The welfare system promotes failure and penalizes success. For example: if you exceed income limits you’re penalized with higher rent or get your apartment completely taken away. If you have more kids you get more money.  

Bunch of dumb fucks that can’t stomach the truth. 

The reason why Nigerians massively outperform black Americans is because of culture. 

The reason why J E W S are so successful? Culture. 

The reason Asians are so successful? Culture. 

The name of the game in 2021 is CULTURE. Racism and equality was the fight in the past. In the 50’s this was definitely a fight worth fighting and it should have been in the number one spot. It took balls to fight the fight then. 

Today it takes balls to get people to realize the problem is culture.

Interesting points on both sides, but it seems that rather than focusing on income inequality , the more important component is wealth inequality . While some of this is attributable to cultural differences, the structural de facto discrimination against people of color in our country must be addressed. Home ownership has been stacked against minorities and education is as segregated as when I grew up in the 60s. And as our country is built on the all mighty $ , and follow the money, just look to Wallstreet for the benchmarks. When less than 3 % of the executives on WS are black it is easy to explain the wealth discrepancy. Solve the education inequality and the other inequalities will be solved as well

Yahoo/yougov poll reveals mostly republicans believe racism is personal among individuals.  However rest of US agrees that racism is systemic.  Sadly, current GOP is the party of denial and ignorance.  According to old proverb, none are as blind as those who refuse to see.

And we come back yo environmental concerns if two children one living in poverty in lead paint environment that tastes sweet that child will not perform or function in the same mental capabilities as a child growing up on modern healthy environment based in projects in suburbs where 30 housing units are developed on 40 acres of land.

The inner city can be directly correlated to the fall of Rome and the taste of sugar substitutes such as lead acetate.  At one time Sherman Williams sold the paint as the paint that tastes good , flavored the lead as cotton candy or pistachio ice cream for ghetto project housing..... without the cognitive ability to grasp concepts education is useless in my opinion.

Democrats have controlled nearly every black neighborhood for the last 50 years. Democrats have been their politicians, Democrats have controlled their schools, and Democrats have controlled the unions where they live. 

With that in mind I’d be curious to see your examples of systemic racism.

Dubious claim at best. Giuliani likes to take credit for $hit that started before him. Violent crime was drastically falling in New York City 3 years before Giuliani was even elected mayor, property crime was falling 4 years before he got elected. He rode the momentum and coupled it with more aggressive policies so he deserves some credit, but certainly not all or even close to half. Much of the crime drop came to large demographic shifts, a decline in the crack epidemic in major cities, an improving economy, and longer prison terms for continuous offenders. 

 

the left should be prosecuted for crimes against humanity for what they have done to the black community. FACT.
