The European Union is preparing to offer reduced car import tariffs to the United States as part of negotiations aimed at preventing a potential trade war with Donald Trump.

The bloc is willing to lower its current 10 per cent import tax on American vehicles closer to the US rate of 2.5 per cent, according to Bernd Lange, head of the European Parliament's trade committee.

 This is so amusing, tell me what is the relation of US exported vehicles to the EU vs EU exports to the US?

The US is not a large exporter of vehicles, if anything the EU is getting a screaming deal by only reducing tariffs on a small scale while gaining a much larger return on a much larger export total.

If this is winning I can see why you guys think Trump and this tariff scheme is great. It is a super biggy talking point though, so victory laps for everyone.

However,in the process Americans in the stock market have lost 6 Trillion in those two days last week... Am I looking at this wrong ?
