I know nearly everyone that proclaims to have systems and posts their impressive records actually know just as much (or, more accurately, as little) as I do. Yet, my mind plays the silly little game of letting them sway my thoughts on particular games (see Oakland A's today. Thanks "World Champion handicapper Robert Marino").

I don't know if I'd turn a profit if I had never stumbled onto this site, but I know this site has offered more losses than wins. And yet, here I am, looking for insight and angles. Why? because I'm an idiot, that's why. I wish I could program Firefox to block Covers from my computer.

This site is terrible for people that like to wager. The people on Covers that just shit on others because they're hiding behind anonymity are terrible human beings and they make up about 85% of the community on this thing.

I hate you, Covers. With all my venom.

I couldn't agree with you more. That's exactly my point. What the hell am I doing taking the Houston Astros? Never would I take them without a little bird chirping in my ear telling me they know something I didn't, even though I'm positive they don't. It's a total mindscrew.

The blame is definitely on me. I'm not looking for sympathy. I just wish I'd never come on here to let it into my psyche. I'd be better off. But because I'm an idiot, I'll likely be back tomorrow to see what the guy who is 25-13 on the season has to say.

The astro pick was because of the outing Norris had against the Angels .I also took a shot with Norris ,.Its not like the As are some lights out juggernaunt.S ounds like its more  like your losing money that is effecting you,and your starting the blame game.For me Covers has only helped me win more that when I didnt read it.Not only for picking winners but also for staying away from games that seem to be a must pick by most cappers. Works both ways.. Covers is still for me one of the best forums out there .. Bet with your head not over it

I just had a little tantrum there. I'm good again. Losses come with the game. I've been around long enough. I just annoyed myself by the principal that I let a complete stranger turn me around.

Why not just stick with a handicapper or two that have been good to you over and over again? that's what i do

Ya man it's so true i hear you it's happend to me too we don't go trying to tail someone but after reading several posts of BS it influences our decision one way or the other. Happend to me yesterday with the NY Rangers i knew i didn't like that game but after ready all the BS and "write ups" it almost talks you into it. Best thing to do is make your own picks then if you wanna come on here and read the garbage for entertainment then thats fine and if you find someone that actually knows what they are talking about then maybe but another small bet in if you agree with the play etc. Goodluck man !!!

I had a Parlay with Ottawa Washington Florida and Winnipeg for $50 oh but let me just add the Rangers....Stupid move and ya it was my fault as well....

sm1975, Use this only as tool to reaffirm your own pics or angles....stick to your own angels and plays.  Keep in mind this is a public forum so 75% are just idiotic college kids or lower that don't know sh it about capping, 15% are just average joes and occasional bettors looking for some something to spice up their boring job or nagging wife (i.e good guys but not heavy bettors, mainly come on here to chase a good capper or so), 5% on here are LEGIT great cappers, skills honed after years and years of betting. They have surely lost in their younger years but experience is key. This type, they do not make ridiculous or ostentatious thread titles or resort to gimmicks. The remaining 5% are SHILLS and BOTS for Vegas, Books, and Locals, that will slam the board with 20 DIME LOCKS under new account trying to get some action that way to even their draw.

Years ago I would go to the race track, handicap a winner and then let the guy in front of me talk me out of my pick. My pick would win 9 times out of 10.  It was then that i stopped listening to people who knew just as much as me .  Gather information, process information, and make your own choices.  Good Luck!!

Some guys knows what they are talking about and others don't.
I read some write-ups here, betting on a specific team, and it happened that the write-up opened my eyes to bet on the contrary of what the guy was betting on.
