@jpot34
That was sarcasm. Because I know it’s not rigged.
@Bill7
Think about what you just said. “If it wasn’t rigged? I’d be able to predict the outcome of a nearly randomized event frequently and consistently. Because the books? Know exactly what games to rig against me”

It sounds to me those that bet on the falcons? Don’t want to accept that they hoped to win by betting on the opposite of the way better team.
and were mislead by the momentum of the sloppy yet lucky come back by cousins against the eagles.

Lmao at this nerd denying the nfl being fixed even tho former players have come out and admitted to it. Hahaha the NFL put on a show today with how fixed their sport is.

I have to admit it’s gotten to a point where it’s bizarre to see grown assed men wearing all the gear, face paint, jackets, jerseys with another man’s name on the back, yelling and screaming like they are part of the “team” with such passion as the world depending on whether “thier” team wins. Some will even spit, fight, cuss, get arrested and even kill all for the sake of “THEIR TEAMS’’ honor……...I mean think about that? Is that really what your life has come to where you drink 12-20 beers with tailgating, pre-gaming at the stadium with fellow “ gang members” representing your “set” or “MY TEAM’?
I mean I could care less what other people do or what they like doing but seeing grown men and woman biting their nails, face covered, crying, yelling, fighting over a sports team is assinine in MY opinion. I like to watch and bet on the games but not nearly like I used to. In my opinion the refs sway the game whichever way the best outcome for the league, viewership, advertising,Vegas, tv rights and all of it.
Enjoy the games and do whatever you want but I won’t spend one dime attending a game, buying the merchandise, buying their overpriced food, drinks, ticket, parking or NFL ticket. I barely watch and when I do I usually have it on low volume. Yes I do like to bet on it as a hobby, no I’ll never get rich off of it, yes I will watch playoffs and Super Bowl but to me like he said “ it’s like watching WWE’’ at this point………picking 55% now and days is a monumental task with all these teams now and the way the refs call them. My advice, bet within your means and enjoy it to the capacity which you like but for me it’s kind of childish the way people act for “ THEIR TEAM”….comical and quite embarrassing.

Think a bit larger than that……yes it can be rigged, wouldn’t be the first time a sport has been rigged and it’s not against you or anybody. It’s about the outcome which is best for the league and bottom line. Has nothing to do with you, me, who “Vegas” is on. They could care less who we bet, it’s for the product nothing more.

@MaximusRamulous
I have no use for any game you can bet on. I just have a hobby to cap and throw small money on a few teams a week. What I really enjoy is watching real football. Rural, small high school games where the money hasn't gotten to them yet. A lot of these kids lay it all on the line just to make the playoffs each year. I've heard there's betting rings on larger high school games in the bigger cities. What has this world come to???

I disagree. I believe it's more about huge sums of money than the product. Where do these teams get the money to pay all these huge player contracts when the owners only have 8 home games a year with all the overhead to pay just to put the game on? Doesn't add up!

Not every game because there's plenty of 50-50 games but there are obvious favorites I'm talking about where funny things happen that aren't normal ... 1 of which I recall chargers vs steelers where charger qb threw obvious backwards Pass by 3 yards and Troy Polamalu scooped n scored covering spread and refs said inc0mplete ... next day paper says ,vegas wins 64,000,000 on refs blown call and there's plenty ty that former players admitted to

Tell that to the tens of millions of fans who attend games every year and the countless millions more from all over the world who do exactly what u don't. Seems you're the minority here yet you're on covers discussing exactly what u claim not to like. Oh the irony. What a clown.

In my earlier high school coaching days, my team went into the last game with an 8-1 record. We lost to an undefeated (9-0) first place team earlier in the year. This first place team was playing a team that had not won a game all year (0-9). We thought we had no chance of winning the league. Long story short, we won, and the undefeated team lost in the last game of the season. We both ended the year as co-league champions. How does a 9-0 team lose to an 0-9 team???
There was no way to predict this. No, it was not fixed. Shit happens in sports. It was a great lesson to learn for the players, but also for me as a young coach.
I wonder when people complain about fixes and how football is not real anymore...did they ever play the game? Because if you did you would know that players/coaches are human, and shit happens. That's the beauty of sport.

1000%.
1000%.
@jpot34
Your statement is ironic. Some of the most "homered" refs were at these "rural" high schools when we played on the road. We knew that when we played certain schools the refs would definitely be against us. Not once did we ever feel it was enough to stop us from winning.
Be alert that if you show up on the road and the refs are in jeans...you might be in trouble.

It's amazing to me that people on this site, who have played football and or sports. Who know football, and yet watch and game with the calls being made to not think it's not fishy, is really head scratching to me. Do you think it's incompetence then? These refs will be right in front of the play and not call it? Last night perfect example. Pitts was in the endzone right in front of the ref, the defender was draped all over the WR Pitts, yet no call. That's PI, first down on the 1 yard line. We all saw it, hell Cris Collinsworth even said it was horrible, that it was PI. Really bad, when the announcer comes out and criticizes the call. So some of you need to quit with oh it's just totally legit, and nothing to see. Come on people, don't let others tell you what you see with your own two eyes, or what your brain tells you. Damn!!!
