55 runs in 3 games? Lolololololol. MLB is a JOKE
Not betting the totals. Just stating a fact how low the MLB is aiming at marketwise. Dumbest audience who appreciates runs and couldn't care about pitching.

Imagine yourself if the hockey games would be ending like 11-9, 15-12, 12-9. It would become like a handball. Would you appreciate and like the hockey same way you do today with removing defensive and goalkeeping factors away and hunting only for the audience screaming GOAL?

Less teams. Less games. That is the only way to generate more interest and recruit new fan base. I'm sure they are running market research projects on daily bases. And the conclusion they must be coming to is that dumb or smart audience spends same amount of money and even worse - the dumb ones spend more. So, why worry about anything else. But they are ruining it long run as pretty soon there will be virtual sports and other sports competing on the same spot baseball sits now at

Well AhiTov , you either learn to change your handicapping factors, or you get left behind . Don't bet totals huh ? Here's a suggestion .Try an over play if you are afraid of losing to totals. Most sports fans aren't as refined as you , hence juiced balls to run up the scoring , umps squeezing the strike zone ,etc. Football actually changed their rules to avoid low scoring , 1-0 games. Juiced balls are obvious. It's up to you to use all the tools at your disposal to help you make informed bets.

I agree with AhiTov not betting the totals. I bet Grand Salami and follow closely the games from the first to the last and let me tell ya something pal - you can't have a predefined policy approaching the totals when you don't have similar approach in every game. Today is the best example with TB scoring 5 runs in each of the last three innings and winning 19-6. Where is the logic or what is the sense of running the score up on another professional team? I'll tell you - Grand Salami. Because the over in that game was long achieved before the Rays ran the score up. Now, take a look at the other games and tell me - how many games like that you see today? None so far and I hope that stays that way. Juiced up balls and all their things to make the game more "interesting" cuts with those who didn't grow up playing baseball. Pitching is the most important asset of a side you play for. Everybody can swing if the pitching sucks and most will hit it if it will suck the way it does recently

There are few teams who get shutout everyday.. what do you say for that?
MLB itself is so shitty right now. No batting talent ot pitching talent and horrible bullpens. So you never know what you are running into day by day for any given team. MLB and consistency cant be used in the same sentence.

Look at today's results. Is not that ridiculous? What kind of a joy can someone who really loves and understands baseball get from seeing an average of over 11 runs per game? There is no value to leading the game either as the other team can right away comeback scoring 7 or more runs in a single half an inning? How an that really happen if the managers were not the ones encouraging it? I can sense what pitcher I have to pull out of the game and when... And I am far from being a coach. So, when the managers see the pitcher is struggling, what does he do? Nothing...

A hard salary cap might be the one thing to save MLB's space on the totem pole. With the Yankees payroll at 2 billion, & Pittsburgh's at 10 million, something tells me it will never come to pass .Just like now the only teams with full stadiums are the ones with the HUGE payrolls. The small market teams will continue to be patsies. There is no pressure on GM's to do anything but make a profit . The teams out on the field are there to make a profit for the owners , with contending teams w/big payrolls filling stands, & small market w/ little payrolls having sparse crowds. A hard salary cap, and revenue sharing I think is the answer. The NFL has that much figured out if nothing else .
