last year paul wasick folded that stright flush draw...he could almost tripled up ..he would won if he goes all in that 1 hand
when I see that in reruns it still boggles my mind....you know Gold is playing ATC so you only have to worry about the guy who pushed before Gold....you have a open ended straight flush draw so that's 20 outs and you fold after the flop...what hand was he waiting on?

best possible hand.....but looking at it from the money side of things....you have to decide if the difference between the two places being paid out next are worth mucking the best hand possible....if the difference were over $10000 or more I would let the other two kill each other and move up in the prize order

If you are so crippled where tripling up still makes you the significant shorty at the table.....and you consider yourself the worst player at the table.......then you might have an argument if folding means an extra $100,000. Remember, you are the SB next hand and will have to commit more chips.

When you reach the final table, are you playing for the money or the bracelet? I would be playing for the bracelet and would not fold pocket AA preflop. It seems like this question comes up (about folding pocket AA) way too much on this forum. 95+% of the responses is to not fold and always a couple to say fold and always try to rationalize a bad play. Ask any pro and see how many would fold pocket AA, ever. $100K would be alot of money but you are never going to win if you play that way.

A friend of mine has folded AA twice before the flop, in cash games. The first time, a friend of his gave him 2 grand and told him that he needed to turn it into 6 grand to pay something off. One of the first few hands, he got AA, and 2 guys in front of him went all in, and he didn't want to risk eveything on this hand, so he chucked it, turns out one of the guys made a straight with 10 10 anyways. The 2nd time, there was a real annoying asshole at the table, analyzing every hand , telling everyone what they were doing wrong, etc, so he folds the aces before the flop, and says, "Analyze this".

actually this guy is a very good player, used to play with Doyle Brunson and Sailor Roberts in vegas, and with Seidel, Hellmuth, Greenstein, etc, in Palo Alto. I don't think you get it, he didn't want to risk all of the money on one hand, but he was confident that he would grind out some money, over several hours. He ended up cashing about $8 K. Hell when you sit down, you don't know what players are capable of, after an hour of watching the table play you are much better suited to make decisions on players. When you have played poker for 30 years, then you can tell people what to do. And that means Low ball, draw, omaha, punks like you don't know that 20 years ago, there wasn't hold'em, but Lowball. You see an old geezer, and odds are that he played lowball a lot, and has played since before you were born. Sponndiggy, I see young punks like you every day, that think that they know everything, and they usually walk away busted. All you know is that if you get an ace in your hand, or 2, then you are gonna push. i will take JJ over your A6 any day though.

it doesnt matter if i am legal or not, i know what im doing. I know how to play every form of poker so dont try to explain to me about what it was like 20 years ago, 2-7 low ball, 7 stud high, 7 stud hi/lo, omaha hi, omaha hi lo, 5 card draw, 5 card stud, razz, hold'em, any game. Im not a typical new generation player so dont talk to me like i dont know what is going on.
You dont see young punks like me every day at all, i will be bringing in a new generation of players once i can finally play and it will be a revival of the old ways. I play every game, preferably nlhe but i am a strong player in all stud games as well as omaha and am working on playing draw, however it isnt a commonly played game anymore so i dont spend much time playing. You come in here like you know everything with your random 'facts of the day' like youve been around the block 50 times over but more often than not you dont say anything that benefitial. Just because no1 calls you on your bullshit doesnt mean it isnt bull shit.
As for the assumption that i am a reckless young gun, you couldnt be farther off. The strongest part of my game is the ability to outplay my opponents once the board has come out. I dont beleive that is even playing poker when you just push all in preflop when you think you have the best as your main strategy, of course there is the time and place for it. As i said before you dotn know anything about me, one thing i have taken away as a 'young gun' is the extra hands played from being an online player. You know it is said that some online players may have played more hands that some people who have been playing for decades? I have been playing seriously for 5 years now i think and 3 of those years i played online nearly everyday. I think that experiance wise, i am qualified to tell how to play to many people who post on this board.
finally, yes apparently i didnt have money when i made that post a while ago, very good investigative work.

oh i was just wondering because you seem to think you are the God almighty when it comes to poker and maybe you are but when i checked sites that show your wins i found it odd that i cant find any career poker earnings under the name spoondiggity or watever it is and i remember awhile ago u said u play under that name.
now dont take this the wrong day cuz you might be a cash game specialist and the tournys u might have won might have not been recorded on the data base as i know not all mine are listed either
lookin foward to one day playin with ya on the tables

i only have about 2.2 in winnings but then again i havent played that many tournaments compared to a lot of other online players, and i do tend to play more cash games than tournys.
