I do not think FTP is fixed, or pokerstars, however absolutepoker and UB and some others have had HUGE scandals.
That is 100% reality bottom line.
Cheating happens on some level at all sites. But with UB & absolute poker it was a systematic organized enterprise inside the company. The entire infrastructure was corrupt.

On the other sites it might be a few guys on phones at same tables, or dumping chips, but things like that happen in vegas all the time also. The websites do quite a bit to uncover these types of behavior. 

As I have said before for the most part poker on line is honest but cheating does happen and in some cases the cheating is rampant.

I am a long-time long-run winning player...

The odds of online poker at some sites are inflated... Its the simple truth... just accept it... learn to dominate, amd youll still make a lot of money

If you just wait around to ram and jam with AA or KK youre making alot of mistakes that you probably dont realize/understand....

winraces are you russ hamilton going under a user name? the washington post and 60mins just showed how people cheat online gambling sites. always introduce yourself at the live poker tables by your user name, so when i'm there i can break your bankroll dude. thats if u play at the live tables

Lets face it, there are much better ways to make a living than at sit a computer all day...do the right thing and admit your a chump and get off your azz chanceP... get a real job and quit preying on folks, 15k in winning is nice, but lets face it, i can make that in a month when business is good..LOL big winner, get a job lame..

I play at Full Tilt as well and I was playing in a tournament the other evening (it was one of the tournaments for 35 FTP's) and I made it to final table as a mid stack player.  I was getting dealt some decent hands and started to make a bit of a comeback.  I was dealt QQ in the small blind position and because I have seen this type of scenario before at Full Tilt I sat back and waited...the person under the gun folds, the next guy folds, the next guy raises, next guy folds, next guy goes all in, next guy folds, dealer folds,  I fold knowing full well that there is AA or KK or AK somewhere out there because this crap happens all the time to induce action.  BB folds, original raiser calls.  Original raiser sure enough has KK, other guy had AQ and the KK held up all the way.
 
I have seen this happen so many times it's sickening.  I've learned to fold my KK or QQ late in a tournament because this is when this type of crap occurs most often.  I ended up losing later on but it wasn't because I fell into a trap, I was just outplayed with a short stack.  I came out with my head held high because in my mind I didn't get full tilted by full tilt!

Oh, don't worry ChanceP,  I'll find a better spot to get my chips in the middle and take down a pot.  I don't need AA, KK, or QQ to do that.   I don't sit there and wait for premium hands because if I did that I'd go broke quickly.  I know how to get my money in good spots and accumulate chips so if your "Please don't stop either" comment is reffering in any way to you thinking that I'm an idiot for folding those hands...think again.

And, like always, the tourney in which these "online is rigged" guys are referring to has a buy-in of less than $5, in this case a player point tourney, and only 35FTP's at that!!!!!

 

Dude if youre gonna come on here and try and prove that folding AA, KK, and QQ preflop is a "good move" cuz you "know hot to avoid traps" just stop, please. Its ridiculous. Ive already voiced my opinion and its obvious we're not gonna come to an agreement. I'll sit back and let you take some others opinions before I respond again. Lets get more opinions in here than just our two, this oughta be good

Regardless of how go you are or think you are in Hold Em', it's equally difficult to win money online or in brick and mortar games.  Too much luck involved, especially in multi-table tournaments.  And the fact that a lot of players are equally skilled at a game where luck plays a huge factor.

its rigged to create action...so are the casinos now with the automatic shufflers...explain how packet aces go down 90% of the time...i run a game every weekend and all my players are through with online play

Once you except the fact that its rigged is when you can start winning, because you will start to forget about AA and KK and start to play spots and situations.... Most people dont understand what winning poker is... Most people see AA and think hey I should win this hand.... instead of hey, player X just raised it... Im gonna be able to outplay this guy.... Its a hard conundrum for the average person to face that your hole cards arent nearly as important and position, player reads and situations... I think its funny how people think they can win at poker without using poker tracker.... Keep playing AA and KK like donkys and your gonna get the same old results..

What most player dont understand is that its actually pretty hard to create the proper pot odds for AA ..... You raise to little preflop and your inviting in lesser hands that are actually getting great long run odds because hardly anyone will fold AA on the flop... but if you raise to much preflop nobody will play..... Basically the only way you are going to win big with AA is 1. youre playing a total idiot, and those people are getting harder and harder to find... or 2. youre up against KK or QQ...Youre never going to win big with AA against any other hands...

I couldn't agree more.  AA is a much stronger hand when blinds are higher, since garbage hands won't normally call the pre-flop raise.  But with cheap $10/20 or $30/60 tourney blinds, I will speculate with a wide array of hands knowing I will bust your AA if I hit my flop.  I can tell sometimes that a person has AA by their pre-flop betting patterns, but I'll still pay to try to bust them if the blinds are cheap.

This is the point I was trying to make earlier in the thread about not needing AA, KK, or QQ to build my chip stack.  Playing situational poker and out playing your opponent is the best way to accumulate chips and essential to becoming a winner in tournaments.  ChanceP jumped down my throat about sometimes folding those hands pre-flop though.  I agree with your statement WinRaces, except I don't think "rigged" is the right word to use because it is still possible to win.  Just play situational poker, pick your spots and be patient.
