I decided to play in an event this weekend. I have about 3500 in chips with blinds at 50/100. There is one limper before me and I have QJ in late position. I raise it to 300 and both blinds fold and the limper calls. Flop comes QQ4 with two diamonds. With 750 in the pot the limper who is first to act moves all in and has me covered. I insta call and of course the fucking diamond comes and I am one of the first ones out. This kind of shit nevers happens in cash games with players like this.
Did you put him on a flush draw?

well if it was me i wouldnt raise with qj at all i woulda just called. but since she raised in position why not raise more to push them off the pot. the caller moved all in on the flop to steal the pot since he didnt know he had a queen in hes hand and incase he called he still had outs.

you didnt raise enough. you only raised 300 when the blinds at 50/100. the limper already called 100 on the pot he only need 200 more to call a 600+ pot. maybe if you raised 900 he will not have the pot odds to make the call and fold.
Well, that's where your read comes into play. You have to ask yourself "What does he likely hold? Will he lay this down if I raise to 900?" At the the end of the day, POKER IS BRUTAL! We are all secretly masochists for even playing!!!!!!
