I agree with the last two posts. In the long run, if you know basic odds and continue to play the correct hands, you can win money at low limit tables. Most people get disgusted with the lucky suck-outs and runner-runners that the get beat with all the time. And, most people are impatient, and don't have all day to sit at a 3/6 table to grind out $200. I have good regular day job. I play poker in the evenings and weekends for fun and profit. If I can't make the same or more than I make at regular job playing low limit, then it's not for me. That's why I play higher limit or NL.
I have made money playing 3/6 and 4/8 limit, but the 2/4 shit they push in Vegas is crap. First, you have to get over the rake. Like I said, I call 2/4 limit hold'em "bingo."
There are plenty more fish to skin at the lower blind NL games, at least in Las Vegas. 1/2 and 2/5 NL. The profit margins are considerably higher and the turn over rate is a lot faster. When I sit down to play and when I get up to cash out, I've usually seen at least 20 different players at a 10 seat table in that time span.

I was playing 2-4 limit Hold 'Em up at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
I was right after the big blind, and dealt AsAd. I raised it up to $4. The 4th position folds, 5th folds, 6th folds. 7th position, dealt KhKc, raises to $6. 8th position calls the $6, and 9th, small blind and big blind all fold.
The action is back to me, and I raise it to $8. 7th position (KK) caps it at $10, 8th position calls, I call. Going to the flop, we've got a $33 pot ($30 + the blinds).
The flop comes: Qh, 3d, Qs. Rainbow. Obviously, I'm scared of the trip queens. I check. 7th position (KK) bets $2. 8th position calls. I call. $39 pot.
I've got two pair, aces and queens. 7th position has two pair, kings and queens. The idiot in 8th position flips over Qc3s. Full house, queens full of threes and takes the pot.
Why the fuck was this guy in this hand?
