The cause of death for a fifth person, Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick, who collapsed after confronting rioters and died Jan. 7, remains pending. Two people have been charged with assaulting Sicknick by spraying him with a chemical irritant.
The rulings in the four deaths that occurred as rioters stormed the Capitol seeking to overturn an election then-President Donald Trump had lost were announced in a statement issued Wednesday by the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

There is reasoned debate about the number who died as a result of the Capitol riot. Ocasio-Cortez is including law enforcement officials who responded to the Capitol that day and committed suicide in the days and months afterward. None of them have been officially designated as “line of duty” deaths, though there is some congressional support for it.
Ocasio-Cortez’s tally also includes two rally participants who died of heart failure — including one who died before other protesters had breached the Capitol. It includes a rallygoer who was initially believed to have been trampled to death in the mayhem that day, but was later determined to have died of an accidental overdose.
We take no position in the debate over whom to include in the deaths from the riots. But here we lay out what is publicly known about the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the nine people included in Ocasio-Cortez’s tally.
Two heart attacks: According to an April release from the Washington, D.C., medical examiner’s office, “Stop the Steal” protesters Kevin Greeson, 55, and Benjamin Phillips, 50, both died of cardiovascular disease, and the manner of death was deemed “natural.” The day after the riot, a D.C. Police Department statement said that Philips, a computer programmer from Ringtown, Pennsylvania, had died due to a “medical emergency.” Like Greeson, the D.C. medical examiner later determined that Philips died naturally of “hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease” — heart failure due to high blood pressure.
An accidental overdose: D.C. police also said on the day after the riot that Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennisaw, Georgia, suffered a “medical emergency.” The New York Times reported on Jan. 15 that Boyland died “in a crush of fellow rioters during their attempt to fight through a police line, according to videos reviewed by The Times.” That narrative was furthered by prosecutors pressing criminal cases against some of the rioters who said that as rioters clashed with police, Boyland “was dying after being trampled by the mob.”
But a month later, the D.C. medical examiner’s office released its conclusion that Boyland had died accidentally of “acute amphetamine intoxication.” According to the Washington Post, “The drug cited in Boyland’s death is addictive and can be prescribed to treat attention-deficit disorder and narcolepsy.”

Only an idiot or bubble-dwelling fool would think that's a good point. Only ONE person was KILLED on January 6th, and that was an unarmed white female protester killed by a black cop. If the races were reversed, or it was a cause the Democrat media favored, that cop would have been prosecuted and the unarmed female made a martyr. How could she not, when scum like Michael Brown and George Floyd were made martyrs? A survey showed 45% of Democrats think THOUSANDS of unarmed black men are killed by police every year. The actual number is around 12. And almost all are criminals in the act of committing crime. We see over and over people on Democrat media saying 'the cops only kill black people'. This is especially poignant when it is the relative of a black person just killed. BUT the reality is that cops kill twice as many white people as black. It was known within 48 hours that he died of natural causes and that he was completely unharmed on Jan 6. Yet it took his family finally coming out and saying they were sick of the lies. They told the world that Officer sicknick spoke to them after 1/6 and said he didn't suffer a scratch. Go back and listen to the Trump impeachment and take a drink each time a Democrat cites poor beaten to death Officer Sicknick. You'll die of alcohol poisoning before it is halfway through. Officer Sicknick being beaten to death was a key part of the Democrats' narrative. So the fact that it didn't happen was suppressed. The new line Democrat pols keep emoting is that 'police were beaten with our American flag'. Weird, because Democrats haven't emoted about the American flag when leftists routinely burn it. They haven't denounced the leftist scum chanting 'All cops are bastards'. They haven't made an epic case about the 2,000+ cops injured in the BLM riots, or the dozens of people killed in the BLM riots, or the billions in damage in the BLM riots.
