A key Republican strategist said today that the health-care vote gives Dems a better (though still not good) chance of retaking the House in 2018.
The reason: After the Senate vote, the House members "will have difficulty passing a repeal/replace bill, but will have voted for a bill that Dems can claim would be terrible for real people's health care and costs."
SIREN: The Cook Political Report today will shift its 2018 forecast for 20 House districts, all in favor of Democrats.
Sentence of the day: "Democrats aren't so much recruiting candidates as they are overwhelmed by a deluge of eager newcomers, including doctors and veterans in traditionally red seats who have no political record for the GOP to attack — almost a mirror image of 2010."
"Of the 23 Republicans sitting in districts won by Hillary Clinton in 2016, 14 voted for ... repeal and replace."
N.Y. Times Quote of the Day... House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, warning moderate Rs: "You have every provision of this bill tattooed on your forehead. You will glow in the dark."

David Wasserman (@redistrict), House Editor of The Cook Political Report (@CookPolitical), gives Axios AM readers a sneak peek at his analysis:
"Not only did dozens of Republicans in marginal districts just hitch their names to an unpopular piece of legislation, Democrats just received their best candidate recruitment tool yet."

Has anybody put out what is actually in the bill? I haven't found much out there? It still has to pass the Senate. Ryan has to go along with McConnell. Both are useless.

The link below is from Dave Hodges. He is of the opinion Trumpcare is euthanasia for anybody over 65. He just might be right. It is an absolute must to stay as healthy as you can. Easier said than done.

Just go to Nany Pelosi's facebook, read her scathing, publicity grabbing attacks (because soft just won't do), and regurgitate them (vomitting is a good term) for us here.
https://www.facebook.com/NancyPelosi/
Pelosi is likely the wealthiest Senator in the Senate, a fringe liberal who tries to be the "edgiest" by being a "little more out there" than most. Sure, it helped Gingrich(on the right during Bill Clinton's tenure), but it can backfire. She is all in vs Trump.
Democrats – A bunch of rich people convincing poor people to vote for the rich people by telling the poor people that other rich people are the reason they’re poor
Nobody cares what you think of Pelosi and here millions.
They will care when they lose health insurance or some coverage. And they will respond at the voting booth. Bottom line. This is a businessman giving away billions to big business. He leaves office and he'll skyrocket up the richest men in the world list. And that's what he wants. Use the presidency for financial gain. That's all he knows.
Sorry suckers who voted for him? We DONT forgive you.

The failure of HAMP underscores another damning truth – that the Bush-Obama bailout was as purely bipartisan a program as we've had. Imagine Obama retaining Don Rumsfeld as defense secretary and still digging for WMDs in the Iraqi desert four years after his election: That's what it was like when he left Tim Geithner, one of the chief architects of Bush's bailout, in command of the no-stringsattached rescue four years after Bush left office.
This is from the very article you sourced. But please keep telling me why the GOP is better when they're the exact same as Democrat's.
I don't understand how you can trust anyone from either party at this point. Yet you keep supporting Trump like he actually cares about average people and running the country in a productive, efficient manner in the best interest of its citizens. He doesn't. This is why he goes golfing all the time and makes money by doing it.
Trump doesn't care about "Making America Great Again". He cares about his own bottom line and self interest, that's it. Nothing more, nothing less.

And HRC was going to be POTUS....Trump at 70 years old, already a billionaire, went through a 18-month grueling campaign for self-interests... You actually believe that?Who in 2020 is going to challenge Trump? Unemployment down to a 10-year low and wages on the increase. That's another nail in the dems coffins.Blood bath? Do you actually believe the extreme left turn the party has taken is going to resonate with the states that HRC got buried in?Keep the faith Scal.

The BAILOUT led by Obama (Wall St LACKEY, fractal, holograph sock puppet) was a PONZI scheme with PERMANENT implications.https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/secret-and-lies-of-the-bailout-20130104
You are showing your lack of common sense saying crap like this. The bailout had nothing to do with Obama...not one single thing. Not that anyone needed more examples of your absurd biases but these posts in this thread show how lacking your education is and how blind you are to reality. It makes me feel sympathy that there are MANY people like you out there just self serving clueless minds who cannot see what is right in front of their faces.

The banks should have failed. Obama could have seized the moment, capitalized on the anti-banking sentiment existing in the American psyche. NO."Trayvon could have been my son." Statements like these gave birth to Black Lives Matter. These are deflection of popular opinion to non-issues. Meanwhile the DemcRATS pillaged our Treasury to bail out the GAMBLING BILLIONAIRE CLASS. Is this my "self serving clueless mind" at work? The same he did when he gave 1.7 billion in cash to the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN.This is m "absurd bias?"
Oh my word...please stop, you are embarrassing yourself. What were you in high school when this happened listening to Rush on the radio?

The Democratic party, despite their rhetoric, seem to be more beholden to the banks than the Republicans, who on the other hand actually seem more responsive to the popular will on this issue (when they can afford to be). It took the Democrats to carry this swindle through, Obama right along with them. The Tea Party was born out of anger when Obama bailed out homeowners (mostly minority homeowners), and bailed out Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. Obama was beholden to the banks from term one, and his carry on to bail out the banking sector with infusions of cash. By stating otherwise, you are trying to square a circle.
trump supported the bailouts.

It always warms my heart to see people that truly get it. What does an egotistical billionaire do for fun.
He runs for President.
That being said, when our 2 choices were Trump and Clinton I think that says a lot more about the clowns in each party running the show. That's like deciding would you rather break your left leg or right leg. Both options really stink.

ObamaCare was NEVER designed to work. It was designed to do the following:
1. Give people namely poor people and minorities the heroin that is the entitlement. They got people addicted to the healthcare like a drug and then raised the price to where now my mother who makes 39K a year has an 11K deductible
2. It was designed to fail Obama would exit stage left in 2016. HRC would win the presidency the Dems would have the house and senate and have single payer... Ruh-Roe Rooby it appears those Christians who cling to God and guns votedand they voted for Trump
No matter your thoughts on Trump or Health Care ask this... What is the Democratic message? Where there 3% GDP plan? Where's their ObamaCare fixes they talk about? Where's their tax plan? Where's their infrastructure plan? Where's their immigration plan?
They think because Republicans acted like turds for 7 years under Obama they can do the same with Trump and they'll get all the power... It ain't happening
The Democrats don't represent America or Americans anymore. They have left MILLIONS of people behind and they're losing more each day with their BS and their DNC leader doesn't help. And to top it all off the most famous Democrat currently in office is Bernie Sanders.... and he doesn't call himself a Democrat

Well, what really amazes me is that the Republicans haven't passed any bills to land on Trump's desk. I remarked to my friend last night that I wonder what the hell I'd put the over/under at in terms of days because I can't believe they haven't passed a damn thing. That's CRAZY! They have all the power and for example, if they wanted to do something about immigration and the employers, they could pass a bill that issued severe penalties for hiring illegal immigrants and jail time as well. However, they don't want to do that so they haven't done a thing about it.
I keep telling people that even if I believe the Republicans look like they can't govern, what matters is the quality of the candidates presented by Democrats and if they resonate well with the public in those areas, along with the number of seats to defend. So yeah, they should really have a tactical advantage, but if they just put out a bunch of boring people who can't present themselves well, they'll go nowhere.

Yeah Trump is too busy cosying up to the religious money holders and giving them carte blanche to contribute to campaigns.
The damage Trump is doing so quickly is quite concerning, it is to the point that as citizens we need to be keeping track of his landmines, they are starting to be a big problem.
No more separation of church and state?
Brilliant Trump, I mean what the he!! are you doing????

If it wasn't for irredeemable Christians like me and millions of others Trump wouldn't be president as he got 81% of the vote from born again christians. He told the religious leaders that he would work to repeal the Johnson Amendment as he should. We have cities where preachers can't preach on certain issues or have to give their sermons to be approved
God Forbid WSC American be a country with Christian values and morals. Like it or not people voted against the Democrat agenda which is anti Christian, God,Jewish, Israel etc
BTW The separation of church and state was to protect against a country or a state establishing its own religion
Quit with the hysterical nonsense

Christ acknowledged the separation of church and state, I am religious but I do not believe in co-mingling of church and state and I for sure do not agree with allowing campaign contributions from religious groups.
This is not hysterical nonsense, it is akin to the dark money issue, I do not agree with that and I do not agree with letting religious groups pay for political favors...keep the two separate.
Separation of church and state is the right decision, Trump is making a major blunder yet again.

I see your point but I don't agree that church's would never have a vested interest in political outcomes.
What if a particular church was against the death penalty? You think it'd be wrong for them to contribute to a candidate that is against it too?
Other similar examples.

The church and Christianity have been marginalized and defeated over the last 5-6 decades in this country. They've taken God out of the school the Court room hell IMO they've taken God out of Christianity. They've taken him off everything except the money and it hasn't been because they haven't tried. A silenced Church and a silenced Christian will be an incarcerated Christian
The Church/Pastors/Preachers/Rabbis etc have the same right to speak out as any member of the LGBT community. Hell 3% of this country is LGBT and they've changed marriage and the bathrooms{Both not for the better} Imagine what the church and Christianity could change in America?
Religious Liberty... what a bleeping concept! Maybe we can welcome God back to America
