Florida department of health did report over 1400 Covid related deaths last week as those numbers continue to rise sadly. However, there those dying from Covid related illnesses who had been vaccinated, a very small percentage mind you but it's not 100 percent guaranteed you will survive if you contract it. But the odds are much better than all of those unvaccinated that are dying and that is by far the majority.

He was probably referring to highest 7-day average. Just a guess as I haven't paid much attention to black cannon's posts this go 'round and this alias has already been banned but I do know most covid counts include a 7-day average to give a better idea of how bad or good a day is compared to recent days. Reading his post, he was more than likely saying Florida reached an all-time high 7-day average. As far as never reaching 700, they had 901 in a day earlier this week. And don't pick on Oregon. Sure, the state has seen an increase in cases and deaths, and by it's own standards is in panic mode, but for context Florida has about 5 times as many people as Oregon, yet has over 10 times as many covid deaths per day. Yesterday, Florida had over 15 times more covid deaths, a death rate 3 times as bad. Oregon is a mostly rural state with few resources. Outside of Portland and a few suburbs, the population is sparsely distributed. People living far from major cities. For from fully equipped hospitals. Oregon has less ICU beds per Capita of any state. There are plenty of establishments where a man can get an adult beverage, where mask policies are non-existent. We were at the state fair yesterday. Probably 70% of people were maskless. Yet somehow people are Floridians are dying at a rate 2 to 3 times higher, which means they must have next to nothing for policy and regulation.

As far as my other home state you mentioned, my state of birth, where I still maintain a residence and have recently spent time... California has nearly twice the population of Florida. Florida has twice+ the 7-day average of deaths. Again, you can find watering holes where nobody is wearing a mask. Family events, house parties, I have experienced all recently. So they must be actively trying to kill of people in Florida. They are dying at a rate 4 times higher than Cali. Truth be told, maybe the Delt hasn't hit the west coast as hard yet but it is completely asinine to put Oregon and Cali on blast as a defense of Florida given current numbers.
