@UNIMAN He was probably referring to highest 7-day average. Just a guess as I haven't paid much attention to black cannon's posts this go 'round and this alias has already been banned but I do know most covid counts include a 7-day average to give a better idea of how bad or good a day is compared to recent days. Reading his post, he was more than likely saying Florida reached an all-time high 7-day average. As far as never reaching 700, they had 901 in a day earlier this week. And don't pick on Oregon. Sure, the state has seen an increase in cases and deaths, and by it's own standards is in panic mode, but for context Florida has about 5 times as many people as Oregon, yet has over 10 times as many covid deaths per day. Yesterday, Florida had over 15 times more covid deaths, a death rate 3 times as bad. Oregon is a mostly rural state with few resources. Outside of Portland and a few suburbs, the population is sparsely distributed. People living far from major cities. For from fully equipped hospitals. Oregon has less ICU beds per Capita of any state. There are plenty of establishments where a man can get an adult beverage, where mask policies are non-existent. We were at the state fair yesterday. Probably 70% of people were maskless. Yet somehow people are Floridians are dying at a rate 2 to 3 times higher, which means they must havenext to nothing for policy and regulation.
With that same logic Stu please explain how Florida's cases are now plummeting???
YOU CANNOT because that logic is flawed.
It's a natural cycle. Look at Florida, Bama, Mississippi, deep south last year in August, they had it the worse at that time of year. It repeated itself this year except now we have Delta, spreads faster.
The count in Florida is dropping now and NOBODY DID ANYTHING, because we actually have very little effect on the spread unless we TOTALLY SHUTDOWN. Football stadiums packed, people living their lives and COVID cases are falling fast in Florida.
Everytime the mask mandates and "policies" come out the local spread is peaking or almost peaked and as it naturally drops the politicians and health departments take credit for that natural drop with their useless mandates that really had NOTHING TO DO with the outcome.
The big spike last November was the big clue that showed these "policies" have no or little effect.
We're gonna see it again, probably January in New York and the Northern States. Then all the "rightees" can come on here and point out the death count in democratic states and say they are doing it all wrong!!!
Truth is it's a cycle humans cannot control unless we stop living and hide in a cave.

Well all the water my in the tundra and locked in the polls. It flood the earth causing more stress on the limestone shelf of the ocean plummeting it into the magma as the weight that high above presses the ocean floor beneath and warps the shape of our crust.
Causing super bomvanies that plunge us into an ice age until we are devolved of modern wroponary and fave meterior collisions in gaurded...
Can we please not do this again..stated an atlantean in Plato work.
