Funny thing about gas prices is that you would think that the more the area is remote the more expensive it is but it's actually the other way around. Something off about that. Based on that link the lowest prices are in remote areas like twentynine palms, Bakersfield and Yucca Valley. All remote areas and places not many live yet cheaper gas prices. As you move into the major cities like Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco they price gouge us. And those rates on the list must be for the midgrade gas versus the premium cause there is not any gas in my area below $5.20 for low grade. I drive an 8 series BMW so I'm filling up with premium gas at about $5.50 to $5.65 a gallon right now.

If you take a map of what counties have republicans as the majority. You will find a clearer path to inexpensive fuel.
Those counties that need to flip higher prices.
Inspire of Trump most senior oil executives are red leaning. With the ways and means to contribute to candidates talking points.

So, up from a few weeks to a month or so ago? We had a small decline (tapping into reserves, so dumb. But hey, MSM said "gas is on it's way back down, yay joe!) and I mean small decline, only to go back up higher.
Anyone wanna guess what happens in 1-2 months? Higher or lower than today?
I saw my local gas up about a dollar since ~3 weeks ago.

Naturally, this means President Biden is totally to blame...
According to MAGA-fascists, he is also to blame for hurricanes Fiona and Ian...

Kind of like how Trump is blamed for covid
Biden wouldn't be to blame if he allowed more production in the US. But he doesn't want to piss off the tree hugging lefties so we're all stuck with inflated pricing. Give and take world we live in. You can't have it all your way.
Lefties idea "let's get rid of the #1 most needed commodity in the world that humans need to survive and function in hopes that the sun and wind will save us and we'll all pay 0 dollars to create energy and products" Like living in a fantasy world with the left, it's nice in your dreams but not real life. While we're at it let's convince people that humas can control the weather and call people crazy when they don't believe!

Yup!
No cause & effect at all, but he will get blamed by the MAGA MORONS.
Conversely Trump, and the extent of the covid disaster in the US compared with smarter governments in other nations, was in fact a direct cause & effect relationship, and still is to this very day, as should be fully understood by the intelligent.

US is the top oil producing country in the world under Biden. US is energy independent because energy exports exceed imports and production exceeds demand according to US energy information administration. Since oil is an international commodity, markets largely determine prices. US still imports oil because foreign oil is cheaper. For US to be independent of foreign markets, US would need to go beyond fossil fuels by developing renewable sources of energy.

Biden, January 2021 while announcing new efforts to limit oil and gas production: “Climate change will be at the center of our national security and foreign policy.” Biden, March 9, 2022: “We are moving in the direction that we don't need” fossil fuels to drive a car.
Maybe Biden is making the wrong choices? Seems like his actions are NOT working and NOT going in the right direction for this Country. Or do you have other info to try to spin?

to those that say this oil/gas crisis is not on biden....
To date, Biden is the ONLY president in modern history not to have held a single oil and gas lease sale on federal lands despite clear direction from Congress to do so quarterly.
Where is the progress biden?!
Why hasn't "green" energy saved us and lowered enery costs if it's so great? Oh wait, to produce "green" energy you need, wait for it....oil and gas! That's like trying to build a house and using mud as your foundation instead of a concrete foundation.
Even Obama knew what this country needed.... Offshore, the Biden administration has not completed a single lease sale. In contrast, Trump held eight in his single term and former President Barack Obama held 29 lease sales in his two terms.
The prices we're seeing today were projected to be seen 20 years from now! That's how far the soon to be (actually currently) worst president in history has set us back. He might have had the most votes, but that will go down in history as the biggest mistake from the most amount of people. But at least ya'll got rid of bad orange man because he tweets mean things.

Exactly. And we would be even moreso than we already are if the oil companies had agreed to drill on the record number of leases the Biden team had made available to them and asked them to use for drilling more to help America! But the US oil companies REFUSED and still refuse to this day, while they reap their alltime record setting profits this year from the oil crisis caused by Putin.

ummm what??
Biden had signed an executive order that suspended new lease sales soon after taking office in 2021.
The Biden administration has leased fewer acres for oil-and-gas drilling offshore and on federal land than any other administration in its early stages dating back to the end of World War II, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis.
President Biden’s Interior Department leased 126,228 acres for drilling through Aug. 20, his first 19 months in office, the analysis found. No other president since Richard Nixon in 1969-70 leased out fewer than 4.4 million acres at this stage in his first term.
Under Mr. Biden’s stewardship the decline has quickened, with leasing down 97% from the first 19 months of his predecessor Donald Trump’s term.

@Zeus4par
Take 5 min to research before you post shyt you hear from CNN. They are not here to tell you the truth.
@Thirdperson US is the top oil producing country in the world under Biden.
The US has been the largest oil producer since 2018, UNDER TRUMP. Biden is restricting production but happens to be pres while the US is still the largest producer, for now anyway. Once again, the left trying to take credit when credit is not due. Stop trying to spin facts.

Permits do not mean there is oil to find on the land issued. Why would oil companies want to invest and drill knowing this admin wants to shut them down? If he gets another 4 years, all the research, planning and investments made to create more drilling could very easily be shut down. Don't act like issuing permits is going to solve the problem when he openly said he wants them shut down and fined.
