Time this Forum had a good news thread instead of all the hate filled threads,that populate this Forum daily...

So,if you have some good news.. feel fee to post it in this thread.. If not there are tons of hate threads that will welcome your post.

Caveat: Try to keep the on the topic...for instance, if you just want to zing the President with post like "Only 127 days till Trump is gone" although this might be good news to some ,,it is not really in the spirit of the topic ...

Now,,, The Good News:

Private payrolls rose by 2.369 million in June, a bit below the 2.5 million estimate from economists surveyed by Dow Jones,but still a good increase..

A new employment report by ADP Research Institute and Moody's Analytics dropped. May's number saw an initially reported loss of 2.76 million to a gain of 3.065 million... that's more than 5 million people returning to work in just two months...

U.S. stocks closed their best quarter in 20-plus years The Wallstreet Journal proclaimed that this was a “remarkable rally after the coronavirus pandemic brought business around the world to a virtual standstill.”  U.S. retail sales soared a whopping 17.7 percent in May, for the largest monthly jump ever..some info compiled from mrc Business.

It is a great day for the country.....and since 55% of Americans reporting,, that they own stock. This is identical to the average 55% recorded in 2019 ..So,it's always good news for the country when things go good in the market ..

On that note.. today the Nasdaq Composite index closed at a record high...10.207.63..

Other good news the unemployment rate fell to 11.1%, lower than the economist forecast of 12.5%, and down from 13.3% in May and Non-Farm Payrolls Soar: A record 4.8 million jobs added in June...

Treatment with hydroxychloroquine cut the death rate in half for sick patients hospitalized with COVID-19 and without heart-related side-effects, according to anew study published by Henry Ford Health System.

“Our analysis shows that using hydroxychloroquine helped saves lives,” said Steven Kalkanis, CEO of Henry Ford Medical Group and senior vice president and chief academic officer of Henry Ford Health System. For hydroxychloroquine to have a benefit, it needs to be given before the patient suffers some of the severe immune reactions that can occur with COVID..

Hydroxychloroquine worked best when used in combination with steroids, both early in the process, and then later with the drug Remdesivir.

Marcus Zervos, division head of Infectious Disease for Henry Ford Health System, who co-authored the study, said at a news conference Thursday “It needs to be used early. It needs to be used in a hospital setting,”..... “I think it does have a role. I think it does have a role internationally, especially because it’s inexpensive and has potential for benefit.” A secondary result indicates that black patients who were part of the study died at a lower rate than white patients, which counters national reports that blacks suffer more from COVID-19, officials said. 

This is usually how I play the crypto market but I may go long with this one. This one may have legs.

despite dismal daily virus media reports Michigan and Michigan State athletes had ZERO positive tests last round of testing. A total of three positives between the two schools with over 400 tests conducted overall since June 5th. Several other Big10 schools show similar results. A favorite college student bar in East Lansing was linked to over a 100 recent positive tests, as a result the governor has required lower Michigan bars to serve outside only. And a few isolated outbreaks in Jackson county linked to outstate travel. 

Michigan got through the worst, everyone else will too!!

Slim, farmers are a big part of private payrolls. I hope they are the reason for the bounce back, because we as a country can not be throwing away crops and livestock how we have amidst the corona virus.

Farmers are hard workers and vital to our country. We gotta eat. And I hope you all eat well. Stay healthy everyone.

I remember that All-Star game. 

I think this is the most important point as it relates to the hydroxychloroquine.   There was so much conflicting information and results being spewed about it,  no one was focusing on WHEN it was administered to the patients.
