This drama queen is a piece of work. She laughs it off when members of the opposing party are harassed, & has talked disparagingly of the capitol police......... but some guy cat-calls her outside the capitol & she's having a fit, crying that the police did nothing to stop him.
She is a walking, talking punch line.

Holy shit.....I find AOC very attractive & love how she drives the right nuts! She kicked Ted Yoho's (R-TX) ass after he called her a "fucking bitch" & did so in front of the entire House. Never seen so many dudes in here afraid of attractive powerful women.

Why do people care about AOC? She is a rep for her district in NY? She is not going anywhere. She doesn't even have the power to affect anyone's lives outside her one vote for bills lol.

Is this a serious question? Absolutely, she has a lot of influence over way more than just her district. She is one of the head folks helping promote and try to set a very far-left agenda in Congress. This is exactly the type of person NY might elect to the Senate, or give her more chairs, etc.
It is not a matter of 'she's renting a lot of space in your head'; it is a matter of folks NOT liking her and her ilk promoting their far-left nonsense is all.

@Raiders22 I'll take AOC over MTG, Boebert & Marsha Blackburn. They are far more dangerous.
Sure. I get that you feel that way. That is why I cannot understand how a reasonable person from the Left would not understand how someone on the Right would say quite the opposite. They are polar opposites politically and so it should be easy to see why polar opposites on here would say that. Easy to see. So, I do not get why someone would make fun of, or question, someone that sees the extremism of AOC.

AOC is just a leftist with a progressive agenda. I don't see what MTG, Boebart, or Gaetz provide other than trying to own libs and wild conspiracy theories. They have not presented any bill that would help their constituents.

Okay. Let's say you are correct with just the first sentence. Leave the right-wing members out of it. Focus just on AOC, which the thread is about, and I think you answer your own question from above.
Why do people care about AOC? Especially, the folks on the Right? Because, "AOC is just a leftist with a progressive agenda". That is not an agenda the Right supports, and, indeed, thinks is dangerous to the country. These are things you have to be concerned about if you disagree with it. For example, the Left does not agree with far-right ideologues -- for this very reason.
Now that is why is why you have debates and that sort of thing in Congress and among the citizenry. But when someone wants to pull or push your country in a direction you do not want it to go -- it is natural to be concerned.
So, again, very easy to see why the Right cares about AOC. I could make an argument that the Right cares more about her than the Left -- because of her extremism.
Her way of thinking is not a really a large step further for most on the Left -- but her philosophy is a HUGE leap for folks on the Right. So, natural concern is all it is.

I mean there are lot of dangerous politicians who are reps. We can agree to disagree about the level of danger each one possesses of course. I happen to the think Pelosi is lot worst than AOC.

AOC gettin owned again, this time by Musk. After griping about possibly having to pay a Twitter fee, she was called out for shirts she sells for almost $60. She claims the profits go to charity, however fact checkers were quick to point out that her store says "all purchases are campaign contributions", & there are no claims of charitable contributions from her campaign finance group.

She's "meh". Not completely ugly. Theoretically she should be attractive but something throws her face off a bit. Her mouth maybe? By Congress standards she's Miss America but personally I'm not super attracted to her.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!
