 You asked a loaded question, congress is not bi-partisan and it takes a large percentage to do what you are casually suggesting. Suggesting that blanket immunity is offset from congress is absurd it does not rationalize the concept of authoritarianism AND it introduces a pandoras box because how can you know what decisions are being made for the public and what are being made in a partisan authoritarian way?

You know that this path we have seen in the past, I wont give names but we have seen the evolution of powers from one form to another where the leader usurps control and the checks and balances are eroded...it does not go well. The dissenting justice is SPOT on with her analysis, you can call her a lib or a dem or whatever, her comments are nails on point.

Not every discussion needs to  revert back to Biden, I am not talking about Biden as the topic originated from a different quasi politician so that is the point of discussion. That said Biden deserves the same treatment and rules and restrictions that ANY president should and as citizens we should support checks and balances, we should support non-partisan protection of rights for all not just those that agree with our personal political perspectives.

Explain your perspective on the issue we are discussing not that you love Trump and the RNC and that democrats this that the other, your post above had really zero discussion value it is just you again reaffirming that you are a repub, well we know that already so why not try discussing social impacts, points of importance and what YOUR position is on actual subjects and how you rationalize your perspective ONTO society.

 Since you ducked out of the content discussion, tell me this- do you consider that project ultra-conservative 2025 a step towards moderate acceptance and a goal of working for all of society or do you consider that platform and effort a move towards ultra conservative and authoritarian control of various agencies and powers of the president?

You should not support extremism and authoritarianism but you are doing so by supporting the GOP and especially Trump.

So are you in support of forwarding a platform and organization that alienates the majority of society and that in theory moves the US towards an authoritarian ultra conservative regime?

I am not making the summary up, just go to their website and look in depth at the platform, the principals the leadership of the group and tell me if what I am suggesting is not 100% true and completely a step towards a dictatorship and authoritarian control for religious extremism purposes?

First of all Project 2025 book is 922 pages long. It will take me awhile to digest. So far I see they want to promote family's, mother and fathers actually raising their children. WTH ARE THEY THINKING!!!!

But statements coming from a person who uses terms such as "blanket immunity"...........when the Supreme Court actually said; 

1. former president has absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers.

2. Is entitled to a presumption of immunity for his official acts.

3. Has no immunity for private acts.

............leaves me doubting anything that person says or claims.

Joe Biden lied again last night and his lies are getting dangerous. 

Right now I am filled with this huge bias that your claims will turn out be just another Steele Dossier, a 51 intel officials, a get vaxed you will never get COVID, a no way the virus came from a lab, a white supremacy is our greatest threat, a climate change causes more tornado's and hurricanes, a tariffs are horrible but Chinese electric cars OK, a there are bounties on US troops and Trump ignores them, a the border is secure, a inflation is transitory, a voter ID is racist, and on and on and on.

I have been conditioned over and over but I will read this P2025 wishlist.

 Well lets see...it is your thread, you make the comments which are of no value so I asked YOU the question in this case. Also it is a flaw on my part to consider you a slice above some of the other members and when you have turned into just another partisan hack I expect a bit more of someone who has a pretty decent past and a good history of interaction and positive comments. 

Not that you need to care or that you need to improve or take action but I had a different regard for you prior to this dumpster diving you turned to the last year or two. 

Question still stands and a deflection isnt the answer, are you able and interested in discussing content or are you just here to bash the DEMS and support your GOP counter parts?

 I held off replying to your above response because it was THAT bad, I had to stop myself from saying too much. That said, your response just confirms what I have said and you have refuted about not being strongly conservative yourself and that reply speaks that for sure you are. It is ok to be ultra conservative there is nothing wrong with that but the issue that you have and too many people have (especially this extremist group proj 2025) is that you seek to force your agenda onto a society which does not in entirety feel the way you do. 

The platform as you minimized it saying it has good elements and families etc is completely glossing over the truth regarding their agenda. That program is nothing short of ultra conservative religious authoritarian control of the government. If you do dig deeper it is also a dissolution of separation of powers and responsibilities of the POTUS which is extremely dangerous and steps closer as I mentioned to OTHER past authoritarian regimes that methodically took power for the purpose of changing the rights and freedoms of others for their purposes.

This sort of platform is nice for people to try and keep in their homes, teach their kids if they want and live in their lives. It is something you would see in a Baptist church in Mississippi where the congregation believes in the OT as a platform for living their current life, even though Christ himself said the OT is the OLD law, he taught the NEW law. It is funny how ultras cling to the draconian abusive controlling aspects of the OT and yet claim they are following the teachings of Christ, well they are not at all doing so. Christ did not force his beliefs or teachings into politics or to anyone at all, he was accepting of ALL and ANY who wanted to listen and to spread the concept of acceptance and love and not of judgement and punishment as a motivation.

That project is straight on discrimination and is abusive to the general public, you cannot take ultra extremist concepts and expect a moderate public will benefit from that approach, if you really dig in there that platform is nothing short of isolation, separation and condemnation of any group not following OT draconian concepts. 

I think they and you forgot what Christ taught in the NT and that is because you want to force your views on others, you want to judge, you want to condemn, you want to ridicule and you want to control and that is not in any fashion the example Christ taught and followed, but hey that platform is the furthest thing from pure Christianity I have seen in a while.

Just off the cuff, it sounds like a backlash to all the cross-dressers reading to school children, books on middle school shelves describing oral sex and masterbation, and gender changes to minors, especially without parental consent. The adgenda pushing is a two-way street.

 Agree with extremism in both directions, I do not like public schools or society to forward excesses in any direction, but that was not the point I was discussing in this case.

Which books are these? Are these the books the cross-dressers are reading. Our country is barreling towards illiteracy. We should be happy somebody wants to read to the children. The parents aren't.

As speculation over Biden's status as leader of the party grows, Democrats are openly divided over who is qualified to run against former President Trump in the months before the election. 

I honestly hope this plays out this way, split the party and show everyone who made this decision a racially divided one.  This clearly has NOTHING to do with saving your party from losing the power they so crave....no it clearly has to do with what race/gender is going to run the show.  But the only clear path forward is to take their shot with the VEEP, otherwise all that donor money is gone for the DNC.  $200+ million, and can you even get another candidate on the ticket in time in all 50 states??  

Has this ever happened so close to election day?  The bat signal was put out for an emergency Dem Govenor's roundtable at the white house, then another pow wow with Chucky Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries!  The shot callers of the DNC are stacking the deck, and they are about to hit the staples button "that was easy" or so it seems to someone who has had their eyes and ears open on this for the last 12+ months

Jesus quoted from the Old Testament many, many times from multiple books on multiple topics.  Therefore, just because he did not mention each and every immoral sin and judge and condemn it does not mean He was accepting of that behavior.  Simply by affirming the truthfulness of the Old Testament, Jesus automatically condemned all of the immoral acts that were not specifically mentioned by Him.

Even if you simply break it down into two basic subjects of The Law and The Prophets, He covered that in Matthew 5:17:

Christ Came to Fulfill the Law

 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.

People want to be dismissive of the Old Testament and assume the New Testament and the New Covenant means that the moral guidance and obedience and justice, that the Old Testament set up, no longer matter.  

Certainly, the old sacrificial laws no longer apply because Jesus’ sacrifice replaced them.

Yes, He brought the emphasis on grace, love, patience and kindness to the forefront.

So, yes, the laws the Israelites were given to guide their daily lives and their relationship with God were set up beforehand.  They can be broken down into three basic types: moral, civil and ceremonial laws.

The moral laws, like the Ten Commandments, were not all simply done away with.  The ceremonial laws, like the ones dealing with sacrifices would not be needed any longer.  The civil law, dealing with justice and order, still would be needed in some form.

Just because Jesus emphasized kindness and patience and understanding does not mean that it acceptable to break the moral and ethic laws that were set up.  It also does not mean that there should not be some accountability for  immorality and law-breaking in today’s world.  People use this sort of attitude to imply it is okay for society to be a free-for-all and not to judge people that are immoral or breaking laws.  They think it is okay for folks to do whatever they want to do as long as it does not harm others.  That is not the case at all.
