BREAKING: More MAGA republicans in serious legal trouble for fraud, conspiracy

The indictment issued Wednesday is part of a campaign
to deter a repeat of 2020, when Trump and his Republican
accomplices falsely claimed he won swing states,
filed dozens of lawsuits unsuccessfully challenging
Joe Biden's victory and tried to get Congress to let Trump
stay in power.

That campaign culminated with the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Indictments in GOP’s fake elector scandal reach new heights

The Republican efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election were multifaceted, but among the striking partisan tactics was the fake electors scheme: GOP officials and operatives in key states created forged election materials and sent the documents to, among others, the U.S. Senate and the U.S. Archivist, as if the materials were legitimate. They were not.

Though the relevant players didn’t know it at the time, the controversy has become one of the most consequential political scandals in a generation, racking up indictment totals unseen since Watergate and Iran-Contra.

As NBC News’ report noted, the Arizona indictment also described a variety of prominent Republican figures who’ve not yet been served and whose names are redacted.

Trump is a co-conspirator in Michigan fake electors case, agent testifies

Testimony offered in court Wednesday contended
former President Donald Trump and several of his
key accomplices are unindicted co-conspirators
in the sprawling case of 15 individuals charged
with a series of felonies for attempting to falsely cast
Michigan's electoral votes in the 2020 election for Trump,
who lost the state to Joe Biden by more than 154,000 votes.

Special agent Howard Shock, testified in a pre-trial hearing
that Trump and others were unindicted co-conspirators.

Shock's testimony Wednesday resumed the ongoing preliminary examination hearings in Ingham County's 54A District Court for some of the so-called fake electors, who face felony charges after attempting to cast electoral votes for Trump in 2020.

Following the conclusion of preliminary exams, District Judge Kristen Simmons will rule if there is enough evidence to send the group to a jury trial.

Media matters reveal that right wing media is trying to pretend illegal fake elector scheme is legal.  They try to downplay indictments severity.  They use false comparisons and debunked claims to defend those indicted in false elector scheme.  If conspiracy to falsify 2020 election results succeeded, the will of millions of voters would be denied and legal transfer of power would be prevented.  Democracy depends on informed voters but misinformation threatens  that.

falsely claiming that those votes were contingent
only on a legal challenge that would change the
outcome of the election,”  the indictment continues.

“In reality, Defendants intended that their false votes
for Trump-Pence would encourage Pence to reject
the Biden-Harris votes on January 6, 2021,
regardless of the outcome of the legal challenge.”
