bigger douche. How and the hell can people keep re-electing this punk. Oh, wait California! Why didn't he attend the Congressional meeting. BECAUSE he would have to answer questions under oath. He had to avoid that at all cost. He was the tattle-tale in your third grade class. Just someone every time you see him you wanna just smash him in the face. HaHa, sorry for the rant. I've asked this question a thousand times and can never get an answer, especially from the Trump haters. Convince me to DEMOCRAT! Tell me what policy the democrats are offering that you are cool with ( Please don't say climate change or green deal). Please, anyone, tell me which policy will make Jo-Smo's life better. I am very opened minded and can be swayed with intelligent response. Do not mention Trump and stick to the question. Very interested in hearing from anyone who can sway me. Again, do not mention Trump. Tx and keep it respctful
Why would anyone bother to engage with someone who has their mind made up? Your post is full of irony to the brim.

Kaga - You simply proved my point which I get all the time - Please talk me into voting Democrat! Obviously your saying you can't be swayed from your position, correct? Why? Please enlighten me! Answer the question please. Do you think the country is in the best shape it has been in a very long long time? At least the last eight years, right?
I actually don't want to convince you to vote Democrat or Republican for that matter... quite frankly, I do not give a flying leap who you vote for. I believe in freedom and that means you vote for the person(s) you think will do the job better. It's up to the individual to determine what criteria is met before casting a vote for a individual. I do a lot of research into candidates before I make a decision. I have not been an up and down voter since I was able to vote in my first election. It's usually a mix for me with a lot of abstaining.
As for the country being in the best shape, I'm not the person to ask, I've been working in a recession proof industry for my entire adult life. I make really good money and pay my taxes. I have always had health insurance and never had to worry about money. I'm fortunate but I know a lot of Americans don't have that luxury. I try to think of my fellow people and what can help them become fortunate too if that makes sense. Some people think it's easy to obtain, I personally do not believe that to be the case. You need a lot of luck and a good work ethic second.

Truthfully, there isn't anything the DEMS have done in congress the last couple of years to make Americans' life better ..... That part is very true.
It will be a nice positive if they actually work with the president and get USMCA passed and signed.
That's pretty funny. 400+ bills passed by the dem house laying on moscow mitch's desk that he won't bring to the floor and you blame the dems. By the way 275 of those are bipartisan bills.

I go back to my earlier point... would any of their policies actually improve people's lives ? Serious question...
I think this is a question that should be asked of both parties! What are the pressing issues that effect a majority of Americans at the moment? Once you answer that, then you hope to build/shape policy around it. I also think you should pinpoint individual policies to discuss and not in a democrat policies in a vacuum.

... There have been 400+ passed by DEMS, (according to the other poster).... Pick one "or several" so we can discuss..

Simply google bills/resolutions awaiting Senate approval & you will find your answers.
I'm amazed how intellectually lazy Trumpers are.

You pressed the argument... Follow through and do the work and choose one to discuss.. I'm not going to debate myself. Quite funny that me and 'Snorkel' arrive at the same conclusion to have you guys discuss a bill, then fall asleep when given the opportunity...
Let's discuss H.R.4477

Great, let's put it into words for all to read......
AN ACT
""To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to submit to Congress a plan to address certain high risk areas identified by the Comptroller General of the United States regarding the Department of Veterans Affairs in the 2019 High-Risk List of the Government Accountability Office, and for other purposes.""
It goes on.....
(a) Report required.—Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in consultation with the Comptroller General of the United States, shall submit to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives a report outlining the plan the Secretary has developed and the actions the Secretary has taken to address the areas of concern identified by the Comptroller General for the Department of Veterans Affairs in the 2019 High-Risk List of the Government Accountability Office (GAO–19–157SP) regarding—
(1) acquisition management; and
(2) managing risks and improving health care.
By now I think we've lost the half the forum with this boring stuff, but let's press on. Lol.
So, the obvious question.. what are these "high risk areas" in acquisition management & managing risk and improving health care for our Veterans. Typical attorney garbage that didn't address these specific points..
OK, there's an issue with the healthcare for our Veterans? Here's a solution. Move them to the front of the line for any medical services they need atany medical facility of their choice. They risked and laid down their lives for us. Time to pay them back. With my solution, No more cramped VA or overloaded VA or denied services that you heard so much about under our previous snowflake president.. Veterans can go to any medical facility they want to for medical treatment, and move to the front of the line.
My bill would be entitled "Pay it forward"

Perhaps if the H.R.4477 was more specific, things would get passed, we'll never know.
What is the projected cost to John Q. Taxpayer under H.R. 4477 ? Insightful question we'll probably never know, either.
What is amazing about new bills being introduced in Congress is that many are often duplicative of already existing bills !! Fix the existing bill already on the books, before introducing any new bill or legislation !!
I'm sure there's a way to "enforce" an existing bill in Congress that would help our Veterans, without any additional cost to John Q. Taxpayer.

Bravo..we agree!
We probably agree on a lot more than it appears. There are other bills regarding opiods, homeland security, small business development etc that are sitting on Mitch's desk. That's my beef. Why isn't he bringing these to a vote..approve/reject/send it back to the House for changes?
