A 24-hour process of talking to party bosses is not democratic, nor is it a process Democrats should be proud of. We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs.

Installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee and an unknown vice president without any public voting process would make the modern Democratic Party a party of hypocrites. We call on the DNC to create a process that allows for public participation in the nomination process, not just a nomination by party delegates.

I see no problem, nor does I believe the law, with the Dems giving the nod to Kamala or Mickey Mouse if they so choose....it's within their party right to choose who they wish to put in Biden's place....sure, this may upset some of the delegation and donors but the party isn't or hasn't done anything wrong at this point I don't believe...it is a very unique situation that is for sure and so they have to make due with what the party feels best...whatever they do it will upset some and hurt others, which is just life at that point....

Although they may not have originally nominated or selected Harris, it is probably their best option....keep in mind that people will associate Harris with Biden's policies because she is/was tied to him...that may hurt or help her it just depends...what should be of more importance is whether they think she can do the job or is she just a face on the back of a milk carton...can she win them the election? That's the bigger issue here...I mentioned this before, but Harris will only do what she is advised and will not be allowed critical thinking, in my opinion...the Dems cannot afford that and not sure they will allow it...that may be the discussions now with her in that she is just a face or body and that they will guide her through the process every step of the way...I don't think there is any chance they allow her to take on the full role of the President even if she holds the title...not sure how qualified she is or what she will understand....not even 4 years as VP can bring you up to speed on domestic affairs let alone foreign affairs...

Again, I haven't seen anything illegal about putting Harris in Biden's place...there may be a moral or ethics issue within their own party with donors and what not, but I don't think there is any legal concern...

 I tend to agree. I'm not concerned about the legality of it, but more that they think this person would be a good rep for the country. The libs obviously have no concerns about that as long as they can hold onto their power. They can pull the strings with her, just as they did Biden, but who's gonna hold her hand when she has to meet with other world leaders? Are they gonna tell her not to say a word.....just nod agreeably?

 They're gonna need new handlers.........Bidens' did a lousy job.

 So tell me something Mugg, what makes Trump more deserving than Harris? I dont find Harris to be lacking as to qualifications or legal experience or intelligence or being able to cross over party lines to accomplish objectives.

I would be interested in hearing why you think Harris is less qualified than Trump and if using that logic, why Trump was qualified at all in the first place? You cant pull the LIB retort for every reply you make, use some details and constructive conversation instead of limp noodle LIB sucks that you seem stuck on lately.

It seems Harris is quite reasonable, as much as any candidate on either side that was in the mix.

It's the only club in his bag.   Much like today's Republican party who says everything sucks but they don't have a valid plan to replace the very thing they are bashing.   Remember when Health Care was '2 weeks away'?  Remember 'Infrastructure Week'?

 Kamala is a moot point right now, just a place holder.  They are running her out as the "natural" choice as successor since she has the title.  

Let's see how the poll numbers look in about 3 weeks for the big party in Chicago.  The swing States are all that matters.  If she is polling within a couple points of the Orange One then she'll have a chance.  

I'll laugh my ass off if Killary is put on the ticket, as VP or take the lead and bump Harris back to VP.  Obama has always been the darkhorse to watch out for.... 

I give it zero chance that Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton is on the ticket. They're not trotting two chicks out.

 Hills is too toxic and would take over the narrative so I cant see that happening. I am a bit surprised at how aggressive and confident Harris has been in just a few days. She is not playing sit back and watch she is going strong on media and fund raising and is going on the offensive AT Trump and I actually think it is a smart move.

She isnt a Vance, she has experience and great intelligence and she is confident and presents herself very well. I think she is a better candidate than Clinton because while Hills has some of the same qualities, Harris is less condescending and overconfident than Hills was/is. 

I tend to think that if she sticks they will go with either a swing state that they need for VP or someone that also comes off well in the media, like a Mark Kelly. He is very popular down here and isnt a jerk-off, he and his wife have a strong following and are dedicated real people and that resonates strong plus his background previous to his new political position resonates well.

Its actually a bit refreshing having someone that is campaigning who isnt a zero ego idiot and is a female, lets see where this goes but so far Ive been surprised and impressed.

Will somebody ever wear a camala harris for President 2024 t shirt and or hat? I have not seen anybody wear a joe biden t shirt or hat in 5 years!
