Sometimes laws are wrong ...but unless you support lawlessness, you attempt to change wrong/bad laws,,not disobey them..

I would think you would quote a person that was at lest an American........it would have more impact..

Yes,, Edmund Burke was a supporter and a friend of the Americans during the Revolutionary War.  Although he opposed many of the policies of the British government ..Burke did not support the colonists’ drive to free themselves from British rule.

..So ,even if British laws and policies may have been bad for the colonist,he did not think independence and a wise course of action..
