Well, I don't agree about the stock market being an automatic indicator. However, I did read an article that suggested the stock market would prefer Biden because of a stimulus coming but also due to stability. Putting everything about Trump aside, he's very erratic and whimsical. That's my kind way of putting it. That is not good for investors who are trying to predict the future. They don't like volatility or sudden change. People make this broad assumption about no regulations being in place and crooks being allowed to do anything they want, meaning the market will flourish. There may be some truth to that but not when a big trade war is going on with no end in sight. Additionally, Trump appears to change his mind at times and that makes it hard for investors to commit long term when it comes to certain ventures. What seems obvious today may be flip-flopped months down the road.
They are braindead if they think the looming threat of Biden's tax hikes, lockdowns, and bigger government are giving the markets a boost.
