Ever heard of Swine Flu?....

Suicide was up 40% in February and Democrats completely missed Trump's comment in the last 24 hours that may increase that figure. You guys need to pay attention. 

My point stands — if he sat in his office — then you would complain he wasn’t visible and giving information, etc. 

I’m pretty sure we can call him a lot of things — but failure would not be one of them.  Sure, lots of folks don’t succeed at first.  But if you don’t — try, try again.  

You don’t have to like him.  But to call him a failure lacks substance in that instance. Edison, or Wright brothers and many others show you have to persevere.  You don’t see us going and doing the things these folks do.  Takes a certain type of individual. We don’t have to like any of them or the way that they do it — but we can’t call them failures.  That only shows a small part of the overall picture.

But if you just want your leader in a time of crisis ‘to sit in his office’ — hard to see that a a truthful or constructive thing to say.

 So global case is 510,000. 22,000 death so far. A death rate of 4.3% and counting. I’m going to say this virus has a death rate of 5%. 

Not just "our " leader "this" leader. He just gets in the way.

The Democrats and the News Media call Trump a failure. As do many of their followers.

Since becoming POTUS, what has he failed at.?. He has failed horribly at appeasing the Democrat attempt at taking over the government and implementing their own strategy of Socialization.

He has halted the Democrat coup and deep state agenda every time. I’m sure he will do it with this virus and again in the coming elections. It is easy for a hateful media to bring up failures by anyone. They speak in half truths and outright lies through unnamed sources. They themselves are the real failures

Instead of rallying for the American Constitution, Democrats have pulled out every stop to get the acting President out of office by any means available. It is they who have failed also. Nancy ripping up the speech was a very childish and psychotic moment of hate and vitriol. She put the final nail in the coffin of any Democrat chance to win. 

Everybody has an opinion. Calling Trump a failure is one. His first 3 years of leadership has been nothing less than astounding. While the Democrats were out there trying to prove Trump undesirable, they managed to prove themselves, incapable and foolishly motivated political hacks.

Time to turn off CNN. They love to spout the numbers , leading people like you to punch the numbers into their calculator and come with a death rate (which leads to a False Death Rate). 

How many asymptomatic carriers people were/are out there carrying the disease (lots).  The 510,000 figure only includes those that were diagnosed.  

Long story short, the death rate is much lower than that, likely closer to 0.2% to 1.0% based on what I've read so far..  So your death rate figure is likely off by a factor of 10 !!! 

Right on. I bet if 510,000 are diagnosed then there could easily be 3-4 million total, likely more. This would then push the death rate to like 0.01% of all people. 

Standing ovation ...you can hate the man with the orange skin, you can hate his hair, you can hate his arrogance, you can hate his rhetoric, you can hate his tweets, you can hate his character, but you cant hate his overall political accomplishments over the past 4 years 

Btw, where is the liberal media's journalism on keeping China accountable? When are they going to starting reporting to the american people that China is cooking their books and providing false documentation to the WHO regarding their overall count and death rate?

Where is the media's outrage of President Xi's cover up attempt? Why is the media for the most part giving Xi a pass here, while wanting to burn Trump at the stake? Trump didnt wish this on the american people, he didnt want his precious economy to crash, he didnt want to take such a long break from golfing...why is Trump at fault here? He didnt allow the Wuhan wet markets to operate illegally for decades upon decades by organized crime rings. He was the first to close travel from China wasnt he? 

If every single world expert agreed that this pandemic would be 100% resolved if the American public all took a collective timeout and every single individual needed to stay home, and Donald Trump gave the command on TV to Jim Acosta and the amercian public to "just stay home for 30 days and all of this will be over, i promise" in a.way only Trump can, i guarantee the media will not unite behind him and will find their own way to keep america divided...and in turn, keep the deaths coming, keep the economy in the gutter, and keep Trump's message and the scientists guarantees from coming true...all because they want Biden to be the next president to fulfill their party's agenda and get back to their own gravy train.

12,474 deaths so far. Only 319,999 infected compared to the 60 million from Swine Flu. It's April 7th and we aren't even half way through this.

I don't live in China.  What I fault trump for is his inactions from early Jan to mid March when he did nothing so as to put wealth over health. 

Undermysac is right.  Comparison omits key facts.  The swine flu figures are for one year.  Whereas coronavirus has been in the US for a few months.  So panic level is justified for coronavirus because the risk of death is much higher.  Coronavirus task force forecasts 100,000 to 240,000 deaths in the US.  Misleading to claim swine flu is worse than coronavirus according to 5 different factcheckers - politifact, facebook, leadstories, snopes and factcheck.org.  According to Vanderbilt university and US health department, Obama administration did a good job because number of deaths are far lower than expected without shutdown of US economy.
