Republicans must be crazy to reframe capitol rioters as heroes worthy of pardons.  Real heroes are the police defending the capitol.  Absurd to claim justice system is rigged with rioters getting excessive sentences while Black lives matter protesters go free.  Actually, BLM protests are mostly peaceful and no proof of two-tiered justice system.

Owen Shroyer, a right-wing conspiracy theorist and
InfoWars host, was sentenced on Tuesday for his
involvement in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.

DC District Judge Timothy Kelly told Shroyer
during sentencing, “You kind of stand out as a unique case,”
and told him he was “not nearly just a trespasser,” on January 6.

      According to court documents, Shroyer
“spread election disinformation” in the months
leading up to the Capitol attack.

A mother-and-son duo who carried zip ties as they searched for lawmakers after breaching the US Capitol were sentenced to federal prison for several felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with the riots.

Eric Munchel, 32, dubbed “zip-tie guy” on social media, was sentenced to nearly five years in prison followed by 36 months of supervised release on 8 September.

His mother Lisa Marie Eisenhart, 59, was sentenced to more than two years in prison followed by 36 months of supervised release.

In the 28 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,000 individuals have been arrested in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including more than 320 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Tennessee man who wrote on social media about wanting to “take over the Capitol building” before the Jan. 6, 2021, riot, where he threw a flagpole at a police officer's head, was sentenced on Wednesday to more than six years in prison.

Joseph Padilla, of Cleveland, Tennessee, was convicted in May of assault with a dangerous weapon, obstruction of Congress and other charges after a bench trial in Washington's federal court.

Padilla has been behind bars since his February 2021 arrest. U.S. District Judge John D. Bates, who found him guilty after the bench trial, ordered him this week to serve 6 1/2 years in prison.

Former republican Florida state Rep. Joe Harding,
who sponsored a controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill
in his state has been sentenced to four months in
federal prison after pleading guilty to fraudulently
acquiring $150,000 in COVID-19 relief funds.

Joe Harding, a 36-year-old Republican who resigned
in disgrace following his indictment in December,
received the sentence Thursday for wire fraud, money
laundering and making false statements related to the
misuse of federal funds.

He is set to surrender to authorities on Jan. 29.
He will have two years of supervision following his release.

“Today’s sentence both punishes the defendant’s
criminal conduct and should serve as a significant
deterrent to others who would selfishly steal from
their fellow citizens to unlawfully enrich themselves”
