Jon Gruden removed from Buccaneers' Ring of Honor in disgrace due to litany of bigoted comments
'That sh*t doesn't fly'
The NFL's reigning Most Valuable Player, Aaron Rodgers, weighed in on Gruden's resignation, saying: "Those opinions don't have a place in the game."
"It was surprising to see that the thing went so quickly, but I think that was probably the best decision for all parties involved," he said on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday.
"Hopefully, we can all as a league learn and grow from this. Hopefully, it puts people on notice who have some of those same bigoted opinions. Like: 'Hey man, it's time to grow and evolve and change and connect.' That sh*t doesn't fly."

"I can say with real honesty and pride that I don't feel like those are opinions that are shared by players," the 37-year-old said. "I feel like in the locker room it's a close-knit group of guys, and we don't treat people differently based on the way that they talk, where they're from, what they're into, what they look like, and I'm proud of that."

Jon Gruden removed from Buccaneers' Ring of Honor in disgrace due to litany of bigoted comments
Gruden resigned after reports emerged of him using homophobic, racist and misogynistic language in emails while he worked as an ESPN analyst.
"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity and inclusion for many years," the team said in a statement.
"While we acknowledge Jon Gruden's contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor."
Sad day all around.
in the least like many i used to think he was a good guy

Joe Biden’s not having a great fall. His legislative agenda is treading water, his poll numbers are slipping, and even his core supporters are unhappy. While they are prone to point the finger at the GOP and the press corps, the reality is that the White House has largely itself to blame.
Indeed, for all the sturm und drang about Biden’s lousy polling, the question that could be asked is why so many Americans approve of the job the president is doing. What is the good news story that this White House has to tell?

America isn't running out of everything just because of a supply-chain crisis. America is running out of everything because Americans are buying so much stuff!
BUSINESS INSIDER (via Yahoo News)
Americans are buying everything they can get their hands on, and they'd be buying even more if it weren't for those pesky supply-chain snarls, the National Retail Federation said.
"Spending might have been higher if not for shortages of items consumers are eager to purchase," Jack Kleinhenz, the NRF's chief economist, said in a statement issued on Friday.

Those shortages seem so ubiquitous that the term "everything shortage" is now being used liberally to describe consumers' frustration as they try to get goods of all sorts: paper towels, milk, toys, and more.
*Note from ECONOMICS 101: "Supply and Demand" This is a private sector deal, NOT GOVERNMENT.
There is no BLAME to demand/supply....unless you choose to blame consumers themselves.
When there is a sudden increase in DEMAND by consumers of private sector goods, the initial supply to that demand is LOW,
...and as a result prices go UP!
That's the largest portion of inflation.
Those who blame the federal government for a private-sector supply and demand chain are likely partisan-motivated

Yep, no partisan motivations from you right FUPA
Love the economics lesson you provided for us as well....so simple even a grade schooler could understand....which is right on par with the understanding of economics in this sub....
I'm sure the $120 BILLION per MONTH that has been been injected into the economy by our Federal government had nothing to do with what you so eloquently explained above. Ignorance is bliss huh.

consumer demand at alltime highs due to recovery from worst of the chump-pandemic and he says spending on consumer items would have been even higher if not for shortages . so the bottleneck of supply and shipping and distribution would have been much worse than it is now

Yes. It's almost like "the perfect storm" hit.
Slow, erratic economic activity due largely to the previous administration, set everything in motion from early 2020 through to today.

PRICES GO BRRRRRR because there's "free money" floating around so why wouldn't prices raise?
Money printer goes brrrr because fed gov't wastes money and has an outrageous budget "you have to spend it, or you lose it" = waste to the extreme (only benefits those that are collecting from the work being done, most of which is not needed but the money has to be spent each year).
CONSUMER DEBT IS HITTING ALL TIME HIGHS. That is scary. When people default, what happens?! So if "there's work shortages and people aren't working" HOW THE HELL ARE THEY STILL SPENDING MONEY?!
Increasing prices is a mixture of high demand and free money floating around. Of course when the gov't give you hands outs of "free" money, people are going to consume and spend it because they have extra cash. So demand increases, supply decreases and prices rise. Now "blame shortages on covid" (seems like the govt is now going to back track this statement that we've been hearing for over a year now) also justify supply being low because "nobody is working" so now inflation is trying to be justified by the gov't who's now trying to not take blame. IF BUSINESSES NEVER SHUT DOWN, GOVT DIDN'T HAND OUT MONEY, PEOPLE CONTINUED TO WORK AND PRODUCE, we wouldn't be in this position of inflation boarding on hyperinflation or stagflation.
Gov't now trying to blame consumers for inflation is a complete joke and anyone who believes that needs to wake up. If you believe that, you probably also believe the Trillion dollar coin is going to save the economy, because it's "a trillion dollars".
Also banks are sitting on trillions of dollars and they need people to borrow, to consume which drives demand. BANKS HAVE CASH BECAUSE THE MONEY PRINTER WENT BRRRRR AND CASH IS A LIABILITY TO BANKS. So banks offer low rates, push people to open credit cards to borrow and spend. Mind you that people lost their jobs, they lost their savings, they lost that careers because of vaccine mandates so people are forced into more debt from borrowing.
INFLATION IS A DIRECT RESULT OF SHUTTING DOWN BUSINESSES FOR A YEAR.

There, fixed it for you. REMEMBER DEMOCRATS FORCED BUSINESSES TO CLOSE THAT FUNNELED TRILLIONS FROM THE LOWER AND MIDDLE CLASS TO THE 1%. Why do you think major businesses LEFT BLUE STATES TO WORK IN RED STATES?! Because blue states are actively trying to destroy businesses and businesses are running from blue states in record numbers to work in red states where employment and growth is welcomed and not taxed to death.
